Considerations

11-10-2011- Other Thoughts: This is a great accessory. It helps balance the camera with a large lens, your pinky has somewhere to go, you can use the e-1 handstrap, and the battery door has a place to be stored in the grip. The problem is that there is a bit of flex between the grip and the frame of the camera. This is a pretty well documented issue on some of the photography forums.

11-02-2011- Other Thoughts: I was worried about the quality and feel of this grip given the very low price (as it also comes with two batteries). Glad to say my fears were unfounded. The grip is just as good as the original from Canon, but a lot cheaper (and unbranded). The only downside is the control wheel. It's not as good as the one in the Canon grip as it feels "cheap". Aside from that, the grip is excellent, almost as if it were the Canon one without the brand and with another wheel.

11-05-2011- Other Thoughts: it works as it's supposed to. great product in all aspects. now it makes my original Canon bag redundant cos the beefed up camera does not fit the old bag. i need to shop for one that would suit the camera with the battery grip. would be nice if the new bag is offered as part of the BG package.

11-01-2011- Other Thoughts: I literally loved it as soon as I mounted it on my camera. Very good build quality, all the buttons and the wheel work great. On the tripod it is absolutely solid. Long story short- every single aspect of it is screaming: Save money without quality compromise! Excellent alternative to the original Canon grip!
