How to Tie a Waist Belt?
A waist belt can be a great addition to an outfit. The old square knot or big limp bows, however, do not go with every outfit. Plus they have a tendency to come across as boring and uninspired. So how do you get out of that rut? Try a new knot. The obi, a Japanese waist belt, is used both for martial arts uniform belts and kimonos. While a traditional kimono obi can be very difficult to tie, the obi knot used for martial arts uniforms is much simpler and just as good-looking.
Instructions:- Wrap the obi around your waist two times. The end you start with is going to be wrapped underneath
- Take the loose end and tuck it upward underneath the two layers already wrapped so that it is directly against your body
- Find the beginning end and pull it down then check to see if both ends are even. Once they are both pulled out, they should look like a diagonal
- Take the bottom end, turn it, and tuck it underneath and in between the two wraps. Be sure to leave a gap
- Take the top end and tuck it through the previously made gap and then between one layer of wraps. Both ends should now be pointing down
- Tips & Warnings:
- This is a simplified way of tying an obi, it would not be suitable for formal kimono. See Resources

02-18-2011- Other Thoughts: The belt arrived very fast, however it was the incorrect size, i contacted bucklebox via e-mail and got a reply within 10 mins saying they could be sending out the correct size with a self addressed envalope to send the incorrect size back and that arrived in 2 days, no hassle from bucklebox what so ever, mistakes can and do happen at times but its how a company deal with errors, i will deffinaly be using bucklebox in the future.

01-05-2011- Other Thoughts: This product looks good and my wife loves it. Chain is a little flimsy, care needed to prevent the links coming apart. Would pay more for same design on a stronger chain.
