How to Wash a Fleece Blanket
Fleece blankets are popular for their soft and fuzzy texture. Babies, children and adults alike spend cold days and nights cuddled up in the softness of fleece. Improperly caring for your fleece blanket can cause it to become hard, bumpy and rough. Learning how to properly wash your fleece blanket will keep it soft and increase the longevity of your blanket.
- Gather your fleece blanket, along with blankets or sweaters that are similar in color and texture. Wash your fleece blanket with fabrics that complement its softness.
- Set your washing machine to the delicate or gentle cycle. Allow it to fill up halfway with water before adding anything.
- Sprinkle or pour in your laundry detergent and let it dissolve, creating suds. This will prevent any spots or detergent stains from sticking to the fleece.
- Insert the blankets and other like items into the washing machine. Using pure laundry detergent will keep the blanket soft and smooth during the washing.
- Dry your fleece blanket in the dryer on low heat or the air fluff option, if possible. Halfway through the drying cycle, take out the fleece blanket. Shake it 2 to 3 times and put it back in the dryer. This will allow the blanket to dry completely on all sides.
Tips & Warnings
- Avoid washing fleece blankets with towels. Fleece material attracts lint balls, which are hard to remove. Add a fabric sheet to the dryer to prevent static cling. Pure laundry detergent such as Dreft or Baby ALL are good options.
- Do not wash your fleece blanket in hot water. This will cause the fibers in the fleece to break down and stretch, and the blanket will not feel the same. Do not bleach your blanket.
NOTE:
- Wash Separately, Water Temperature under 30℃
- Do not Soak, No Chlorine Bleach, Do not Wring
- Warm Iron (Max Temperature 150℃)

04-07-2011- Other Thoughts: This blanket is very high quality. It is very soft and a lot thicker than I expected. I bought one as a gift and once I saw the quality and how soft it was I had to get another one for myself.

02-15-2011- Other Thoughts: Though my girlfriend is in her 20's, she still loves brand stuff. This blanket would be perfect for young girls, because it would be big enough to serve as a full blanket for them.
