A Little History:
- Before we delve into the different kinds of Bluetooth, it may help to know a little bit about Bluetooth itself. In Bluetooth technology, two devices communicate with each other over low-frequency radio waves in the 2.4GHz range. No cables or wires are needed, and the only requirement is that both devices be Bluetooth compatible. Unlike infrared ports, the connected devices don't need to be in direct line of sight, but they do need to be relatively close to each other. And like a wireless Infrared transfer, Bluetooth doesn't cost anything beyond the initial investment in the devices.
- In addition to connecting a cell phone to a headset, Bluetooth is used to connect PCs to keyboards and mice, handhelds to other handhelds, and cell phones to computers. Many cars are even equipped with Bluetooth so that you can use the car's audio system for hands-free cell phone functions
How to Activate a Bluetooth Headset:
- Set you Bluetooth headset device to discovery mode. To do this, usually you just hold down the control button for 3+ seconds until the light stays continuously lit. If the device asks for a pass codes for these devices are 0000 or 1234. Consult the user's manual of the device for the correct code if not listed here
- Set your phone or mobile device to find the Bluetooth device. To do this, go to settings and find the Bluetooth link. Activate the link (select Yes to activate)
- Set the phone find audio device mode. The phone will search and the Bluetooth device will register, Click confirms or OK
- Exit settings mode on the phone. Your Bluetooth headset device is now connected and ready to use

12-18-2010- Other Thoughts: I do not listen to music over bluetooth--bluetooth is simply too "lo-fi." It is mega-compressed and distorts your music no matter what fancy headset you get. <br/>However, this wireless stereo Bluetooth headset is absolutely wonderful for podcasts of AM talk radio. I listen to that stuff all the time--and now I can do it in any environment. Best of all in this type of application, you can remove the stereo earbud and you have a single-ear bluetooth cellphone headset that can also receive A2DP signals from your phone--the only mono device I'm aware of that can do this.

12-05-2010- Other Thoughts: This wireless stereo Bluetooth headset offers a better approach to how you carry your Bluetooth headset when not on a call. The earpiece is reasonably comfortable to wear, but not much more so than some of the 2 pieces all-in-one earpiece headsets.

10-20-2010- Other Thoughts: You can't really compare this wireless stereo Bluetooth headset with any other headset because as far as I know there isn't another headset like it. With this headset you can use it as stereo or unplug the wire and hang it on one ear like a standard headset. It is A2DP or whatever those letters are that mean it controls your phone from the headset if your phone has those features.

10-06-2010- Other Thoughts: I love the this new wireless stereo Bluetooth headset. It pairs great with my cell phone. For audiophiles, this wireless stereo Bluetooth headset wont cut it. But I think I can safely say that no BT headset has great audio. If fidelity is what you want, you favorite headphones are better suited for the job, but if you want to walk around town, make calls, and listen to tunes this headset is awesome. It has great audio isolation and decent sound quality.

10-01-2010- Other Thoughts: I love this wireless stereo Bluetooth headset. It does more than I hoped it would, and enhances my life far beyond its low cost (got mine for $35). If you have an mp3-enabled phone with lots of memory ( and you like talk radio, get one of these and prepare for a great experience. You'll find yourself leaving the iPod and headphones at home because they're just too much of a hassle and this stuff works great.
