How to Use a Bluetooth Car Speakerphone:- Read reviews online to decide which bluetooth speakerphone is best for you. The kind that routes calls to your car speakers are best- they're a great alternative to the scratchy speakerphone. I use the Motorola T505 and I love it, I am incredibly impressed with its clarity, plus it gets great reviews. The cheapest way to find one is either on eBay or Amazon (see resources below.)
- Charge up your speakerphone using the car or wall charger it comes with. Power it on. Configure your phone to detect the bluetooth device (this step is very easy if you know your phone well, otherwise you may want to consult your user manual for instructions.) If it asks for a password, refer to your speakerphone car kit's user manual. The T505 will speak the password to you, which is 0000
- Once your speakerphone and cell phone are paired, you must set it up to connect to a radio station so your calls can be broadcast over the air. Again, consult your user manual for your specific model, but this should be as easy as tapping an FM button on the device itself. The speakerphoe will search for a frequency and tell you what to tune your radio to
- Follow your manual's instructions for saving that radio station. This is critical, otherwise you will have to constantly change stations as you drive. You want the speaker to broadcast to the same radio station all the time
- Clip the speakerphone to your visor and make a call, either by pressing the call button on the bluetooth, or doing it right from your phone. If you have music on your phone you can also play it through your car speakers while the phone and bluetooth are connected, and the radio is tuned to the correct station
How to Install Car Bluetooth:
- Install the Bluetooth car kit. It is a sipmle device with a fairly simple installation. Every Bluetooth car device comes with a step-by-step guide to help
- Keep in mind that however you choose to install your Bluetooth car kit, mount the microphone at the maximum 16 inches away from your face, either near the rearview mirror, headliner, or overhead console. This is to ensure easier reach and accessibility
- Make sure that the installed Bluetooth car kit does not interfere in any way with the mirrors, the seats or gearshift, and more importantly, the car's airbagTest the Bluetooth car kit immediately. If a problem arises, contact your dealer
The Advantages of Using a Bluetooth While Driving:
- Bluetooth offers a variety of benefits over regular, wired hands free headsets while in the car. It is fast, easy to manage, and safer than fumbling with wires, and there's no chance it can become unplugged
- Turning your head to check your mirrors and blind spots won't pull the cell phone into your lap, and making a call requires less buttons to push (sometimes none if your phone supports voice commands)
- Incoming calls are easy to answer by pushing the button on your headset rather than on your phone
- Not only do they alert the user of incoming calls (usually with a beep), but they allow them to answer calls with a push of a button
- If their phone supports voice commands, all that is required is to say the name and the phone will do the rest
- Some newer cars support Bluetooth, meaning your phone will "sync" with your car's radio system and alert you of incoming calls. The conversation can even be held through your car's speakers rather than the headset

02-17-2010- Other Thoughts: Overall a great product. Bluetooth phone volume a bit lower than your normal music. Party on other side barely notice i am talking in the car to them. very clear sound. Ipod hook up give you lower quality sound, but if you adjust equalizer setting, sound will be much better.

03-10-2010- Other Thoughts: This has been a good product. One complaint is that whenever I get an email, text, etc on my iphone it temporarily disrupts the radio, bluetooth music or video we are watching/listening too. Other than that we have been happy with it.

07-14-2010- Other Thoughts: It is pretty good. It does crash sometimes and the music selection software needs some work. I can't seem to see how to randomize the play order. Loading music onto a memory stick is great. just plug it in and go.

04-27-2011- Other Thoughts: The handsfree Bluetooth car kit seems to be very good in quality. I have used it for 2 weeks, it always worked well, and had never disappointed me. and i like its FM function, with it, I can listen to news and music anywhere I am. that's great!
