 How to Watch Two Security Cameras with One TV



When monitering security footage, you are typically going to have more than one security camera running. Although most new security cameras connect directly into a computer, it is possible to view the content on your television through the signal RCA video cable running out of the cameras. Depending on the television you have, you may or may not need to attach a switcher box to the system. Regardless, you are not going to have an issue with viewing the security footage on your TV

Instructions

• Look at the back of your television and see if there are two different RCA video connection ports. If there are, you do not need a switcher box. However, if there is only one connection port, you must use the switcher box to view the two different cameras
• Connect the first RCA cable into the lone "Video Input" if the television only has one connection port. If it has two, skip over this step. Plug the opposite end of the cable into the "Out" port on the switcher box
• Plug the RCA cable running out of the first camera into the first "In" port on the switcher box. If using a television with multiple RCA connection ports, insert the cable directly into one of the yellow "Video In" connections
• Repeat the process with the second camera. Either insert the RCA cable into the second switcher port or plug it into the second "Video In" port on the television
• Power on the television. Press "Video" to view the first security camera. If using a television with one connection port, press the switcher button on the video switcher box to change to the second security camera. If using a television with two video connections, press "Video" again to switch to the second video security camera
