How to Clean a Candle Holder:
Don't you just hate that left over candle wax in the bottom of the candle holder? Here is a quick and easy way to remove it and save the candle holder- Step 1: Add 1/8 inch of water to the bottom of a candle holder before you insert the candle. This will make wax removal easier later on
- Step 2: Place washable candleholders and votives in a plastic tub of warm water to soak. The wax will loosen and can be easily removed. Stubborn pieces of wax can be pried away from the candleholder surface with a spoon or butter knife
- Step 3: Place non-washable candleholders in the freezer. This will cause the candle wax to become very brittle and easy to remove. Excess wax can be scraped off with a butter knife or spoon
- Step 4: Apply the liquid to the wax with a clean cloth and allow sitting for a minute or two. Scrape off wax with a spoon or butter knife. Clean area with water and mild soap
- Step 5: Cover the spoon or knife in a thin, soft cloth before you use either to scrape off wax. This will protect delicate finishes from being scratched

Set aside some of your budget for a focal point piece in the rooms that matter most to you. A Formica table and diner-style chairs create retro charm in the kitchen. An armoire with hand-painted panels adds a crafty artisan touch.
- Accessories: Extend your house decor's theme with accessories. An architectural element adds visual pop to the room, be it an arch over the kitchen window, cornices as supports for a floating shelf or a ceiling medallion in plaster relief. Use textiles to add color and texture. A wool rug with an intricate design can define space in an open living area. Scatter floor cushions, throw pillows and throws in various patterns across furniture and by windows, connecting them with a common detail or motif. 02-24-2011- Other Thoughts: I have two cats and they've knocked this over numerous times and it still looks good as new. The glass flowers rest in holders so they're not attached, but when knocked over they tumble out, and nothing has broken yet :) Oh and it's pretty cute too.

03-24-2011- Other Thoughts: Mom likes them, seem to be great quality. Only problem is that they are heavy, so it may be expensive to ship. Still, much cheaper, even with shipping, than you will find them at your local store.
