How to detach & attach
How to Maintain a Car DVD Player:
- Start basic and simply make sure the device is plugged in properly to the power outlet. You want to check for shorts in the power supply cord as well by jiggling the cord around and seeing if the device turns on and off
- Check the connections the DVD player has to the television set to make sure it is hooked up properly and that all connections are still functioning. Sometimes connections can come a bit loose and this can cause you to have problems as well. Tighten up the connections and see if the player begins working correctly
- Unscrew the DVD player housing and remove it from the device. Lift the clamp so that the DVD player lens is exposed for you to clean
- Take your canned air and spray away any dust off of the lens and any other part of the inside of the DVD player to remove excessive dust and build up. If a build up of dust gets on the lens, it will be unable to read the DVD discs you insert into your DVD player. It is good to routinely give your DVD player a good cleaning even when working properly to avoid build up
- Replace the DVD player housing and secure it back in place using the screwdriver. Turn on your DVD player and test your repairs. If the DVD player is still not working correctly, you may want to remove the DVD and give it a good cleaning as well with your canned air and wiping it with a soft cloth

03-23-2011- Other Thoughts: I was very pleased that this unit does support SDHC memory. The specs state that only SD (2GB) memory is supported. I'm using 8GB SDHC memory with no problem, eliminating the need for mp3 CDs or DVDs. The unit has worked perfectly since installation. The display is bright and crystal clear even in daylight. The sound is wonderful (plenty of power for my ears). The touch screen is a great idea, easy to use, and I love it. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Pioneer!

03-29-2011- Other Thoughts: Ordered It on Monday morning and came Tuesday afternoon with standard shipping. Looks great and no issues. Havent used it yet have to wait till I install the new Deck but it should be fine.

04-19-2011- Other Thoughts: hello, i purchase this item, and i have not had the chance yet to use it, because i had problem taking it out of customs. i live in dominican republic and this package came without the receipt, so i had to print a amazon receipt and give this to the carrier company. they send this recept to customs and now they are charging me almost the same 425 dollars that I pay for this. im paying this much beacuse of a mistake car toys made or amazon. i really don know wich of the two companies. <br/> <br/>its not fair

04-05-2011- Other Thoughts: I found this unit to be a bit bigger than it needed to be. I was getting nervous that it wouldnt fit in my pickup truck but was relieved to see that it fit in very nicely. The directions that came with it were easy to follow and seemed well written. It installed very nicely with a minimum of hassles. Make sure you have wire cutters, tape, etc. up front so you dont have to stop 4 times to get what you need. <br/> <br/>then sound quality is as nice as I had hoped so I am a happy user of this system.
