This SD to CF adapter, like all others it seems, is in a Type II CF package, which is 5mm tall. Type I is 3.3mm tall. This card does not fit in my Nikon Coolpix 990. Double check your device's specs before planning to use one of these adapters.

The card adapter is compatible with my Canon 350D and worked excellent with a 4GB SDHC card. It gave me more than 1000+ photo storage space, and saved me $$ getting more CF cards (I had too many SD cards lying around) for the dSLR. Items was received in good condition and was timely.

I bought this for my Fuji Finepix S9500, which has an XD slot and a CompactFlash II slot. With XD going out of production and being limited to 2 GB, I wondered if I could use an SD card in this camera. The camera firmware supports CFII up to 6 GB. I put a 6 GB Panasonic SD card into this adapter, and the camera seems to work fine with it. I haven't done extensive picture taking yet (like on a trip), but I did try some test pictures and a few short movies. No problems.

This is a life saver when you don't have a CF reader on your computer. Plugging my camera into a USB port and copying pictures took a long time; now I take out the SD card from the adapter and put it right in my computer.
