Admittedly, bartending is not an area of expertise for me; I've never done it professionally. Although I haven't really used other shakers extensively, I've tried, and don't like. This stainless steel cocktail shaker set is cheap, and easy to use. I love it! The seal is good; no need for a rubber edge on the glass. I find that the recipes are a good reminder of classic combos, good departure points for creative mixing.
