USB Adapters
- USB is a very common signal transmission and connection standard often used for connections between computers and computer peripherals. USB comes in many different shapes and sizes, and they exist on a large variety of devices, such as USB hubs, input devices, printers, external drives, portable devices, mobiled phones, PDA's, smartphones, and MP3 players. For many portable devices, USB is not only used for data transfer, but is also used for charging and recharging of batteries. USB's numerous types include the standard USB, mini-USB, and micro-USB. Furthermore, for each of the aforementioned types, there are Type-A and Type-B connectors, with micro-USB having an additional Type-AB connector that can interface with both Type-A and Type-B micro-USB connectors. And, of course there are male and female genders for each standard. While male and female connectors of the same standard can interconnect, same gender connectors cannot without an adapter. With so mant different variaions of USB, handy USB adapters can ease much frustration by providing interface functionality between different connection standards of USB, thereby increasing your devices' versatility to improve system efficiency and economy. Using these adapters, you can enjoy high-fidelity and high-speed data transfer rates that only superior adapters can deliver

06-07-2011- Other Thoughts: Great little interface. I can now use the terminal on my Cisco ASA, and I can do it without having to install a pci express serial card in my new computer. I am running Windows 7 and this product installed seamlessly with the supplied drivers.

05-02-2011- Other Thoughts: I'm a court reporter using Eclipse software with a HP laptop and have had serious problems with my USB connection until getting this adapter. It wants to work, never fails. My previous USB adapter wasn't sure if it wanted to work or not (intermittent), and my express card also was sometimes intermittent.
Great bargain!

04-26-2011- Other Thoughts: We got this to be able to hook up our older GPS to our newer laptop and it does just what we need it to do. Programs work great and allows us full use ofthe two devices together.

04-06-2011- Other Thoughts: I used this both to program a HAM radio (under Windows XP and 7), and also to control an old UPS (under Mac OS X and Linux), and it worked flawlessly every time. I now keep an extra one in my laptop case or whenever I happen to run into something that needs to be programmed via serial. The cable is reliable, durable, and inexpensive- a perfect combination!

03-14-2011- Other Thoughts: Our timeclock feeds software via a serial cable. I put that software on a virtual desktop (VMware View) running Windows XP. The cable's driver needs to be installed on both the VM and the Host machine in order to work. Would be nice if it could be driverless somehow. But it did its job well.

I doubt a Wyse client would work. Tried that with a UPS scale with no luck.
