- Start at one side of your dog's head, and use the bristle brush to comb backward against the natural direction of hair growth. Work your way to the rear of the animal, in small sections, always parting the hair down to the skin. Repeat this process, starting on the other side of your dog's head, working all the way back to the rear
- Starting at the rear of your animal, brush your dog's hair again with the bristle brush. This time, brush in the direction of natural hair growth. Brush the entire coat, from rear to head
- Use the slicker brush to lightly comb your dog one last time. Comb out any tangles or mats that formed during your bristle brushing. Brush from head to tail, until your dog's coat is shiny and untangled
- Give your dog another treat at the end of grooming

01-01-2012- Other Thoughts: I adopted a Dog Grooming Comb about six months ago, the shorter combs and brushes were allowing matted fur close to her skin - the longer teeth on this comb is wonderful for long-hair cats!!

01-12-2012- Other Thoughts: I bought this Pet Grooming Comb to comb my Mally's hair with and it works great, gets out the tangles and is tough enough to last! It is made of only the finest of folded Japanese steal, whose technique has been handed down for generations. Its razor pointed tips make it an ideal weapon for any aspiring ninja or justice seeker.

01-02-2012- Other Thoughts: I bought this Pet Grooming Comb as a replacement for one that I misplaced around the house. Turned out it was a little larger than I expected but it still does a great job. My senior cat has a thick double coat and when turned at an angle to her skin, this comb does a great job of pulling out dead undercoat. She loves it too. Lots of purring whenever I use it on her.
