How to Measure Your Pet:
- Neck: measure around the neck as you would for a collar
- Girth: measure the chest at its widest point, all the way around, which is typically right behind the front legs. If the dog has a large girth, going up a size is recommended
- Length: measure from the neck to the base of the tail. This is where the collar rests to where the tail meets the rear-end
How to Choose a Good Dog Coat:
- Measure your dog before you shop for a dog coat. Place a tape measure at the base of his neck and run it down to the base of his tail, where it meets his body
- Determine which cut or style is best for your dog. When choosing a dog coat for a male dog, avoid clothes that cover their entire tummy area. They may accidentally soil the coat when urinating.

Other closures include buttons and snaps. Try several styles on your dog to determine which style will stay in place
- Pick a color and pattern which suits your dog and your sense of style. There are many kinds of style clothes in the market. Therefore, decide how you want your dog to look when you decide to get one.

02-08-2011- Other Thoughts: Purchased a large coat for my sister's elderly lab. Very easy to put on <br/>and fits her dog perfectly. She doesn't seem to mind wearing it at all. Though she doesn't go on long walks anymore, this coat helps keep her warm on the short outings that she does go on. Reflective strip is a plus for nightime walks.

04-20-2011- Other Thoughts: This was so cute on our dachshund! The costume was good quality, and could be worn again many times. The hat was difficult to keep on, but it could be that our puppy was distracted by the beads. A BARGAIN at the price I paid!

01-17-2011- Other Thoughts: This is a quality Dog Costume that is nicely made. The reflectors are bright and can be seen even in bad weather. The sizing seems to run a bit long even though I made sure to measure for the right size. The velcro closures are the super strong type, and it is taking some real behavioral training to get my dog use to the extra loud ripping sound of the velcro when removing the coat.
