How to Choose an Educational Toy:
- Choose an educational toy that is appropriate for your child's age. Children of different ages are at different stages of developing and learning
- Infants and toddlers enjoy toys that vary in color and shapes. These type of toys allow children to develop distinguishing abilities between different colors, varying shapes and sizes
- Children ages one to four enjoy toys that challenge their abilities to recognize pictures, symbols and relationships. Such toys are puzzles, ABC blocks and sticker books
- Children ages five to seven enjoy toys that build upon the development and skills they have learned so far. Simple games, interactive toys, crafts, building blocks, bouncing balls and Frisbees suit this age group
- Children ages eight to twelve are well on their way to developing into adults and can tackle many tasks that most adults do. Toys such as experimental kits, model kits, science and art kits as well as kites suit this age group
- Children ages thirteen and above require more advanced toys that continually challenge their growing minds. Complex games like chess, electric airplanes, dissection kits and books better suit this age group
- Purchase toys of good quality materials. Educational toys must last throughout the child's current developmental stage. Young children and toddlers don't know how to handle fragile or delicate toys, so the sturdier the better. A few extra dollars is well worth the added years your child can spend learning from his toys
- Select educational toys that teach your child things you want them to know. Lessons that you'd like your child to learn while playing can be found in many educational toys. A chemistry set is educational and fun to experiment with, but it also teaches children to be patient and creative as well as to enjoy learning

06-15-2011- Other Thoughts: This is a great, yet educational toy. It is very durable and comes in a durable box (great for keeping the pieces together). All 4 of my kids, ages 5-12 enjoy playing it at various difficulty levels. I like the fact that it stimulates their brains, but they are just having fun.

06-10-2011- Other Thoughts: I love puzzles but couldn't get my brain wrapped around Sudoku. Colorku allows me to use the same logic to solve the Sudoku, using the colored balls in place of the numbers. I can rotate the board for a different perspective, which is not possible with the numbered grids. This game is helping me to keep my brain active. It was a bargain and I love it.

04-29-2011- Other Thoughts: Super logic game for all ages - Grandpa, dad, and grandson all just love it -- you can play solo or duet (take turns trying to make a play). <br/>Good antidote for kids who are glued to their gameboy. It's sudoku for both left and right-brained folks -- numbers are good for left-brainers, but the colors are better for others.

05-20-2011- Other Thoughts: Our whole family loves this game...it is my new "favorite gift to give". This game is almost always out; played by our 10 year old, our high school boys, grandpa, and my husband and I (and any combination of the above)! Very nice quality with over 100 puzzles/solutions. It brings a whole new approach to Soduku...great "toy" for all ages.

05-27-2011- Other Thoughts: My granddaughter brought over this puzzle that she had gotten for her birthday. We had such fun with it. We love playing Sudoku and this was a game the whole family could play at one time. We set it out on the table and whomever came by filled in a place or two. I ended up buying 2 of the games for myself. One as a gift for another granddaughter and one as a gift for myself. Just love it.
