How to Play Computer Flight Simulators:
Flight simulators for the computer have been around for a long time, from when the graphics looked more like weird blocks than an actual plane. Most flight simulators take on a realistic feel of flying, which means you have a lot to learn before you can fly correctly. Although flight simulator games support keyboard control, you'll find it much easier to fly your plane by using a joystick or steering wheel. Once you get the hang of taking off, controlling your plane in air and landing, you can begin flying without a worry of crashing.
Instructions:
- Connect your joystick. Most modern joysticks connect to your computer via a USB cable
- Look at the game manual for game controls. Many game manuals don't provide a lot of information on how to play the game, but all manuals list the game controls. Flight simulator games typically contain a plethora of controls, from releasing the brakes to lowering the wheels
- Start the flight simulator game. Start the "Tutorial" or "Practice" mode. The tutorial mode goes over the basic game functions and what you need to know to fly the plane
- Choose a smaller plane to start out. Larger planes are more difficult to handle when it comes to taking off, flying and landing. You don't need to worry about a 100-foot wingspan with a small plane
- Take off and land slowly. When you take off, you cannot climb too fast or the plane will either stall or crash. Likewise, you must take the landing slowly as well; otherwise the plane will become unstable when you touch down onto the runway
- Land without touching the nose or tail of the plane to the ground. Landing is one of the most difficult parts of a flight simulation game. You have to land your plane with enough downward force that it touches the runway, but you can't let the nose or tail touch the ground

03-31-2011- Other Thoughts: It should work with any sim that recognizes a Windows Joystick driver since it makes the TX look like a multi-axis joystick with a bunch of buttons.
