How to Clean Plastic Food Storage Containers:

Tired of being embarrassed because of dirty looking food storage containers? Are they stained from food, especially tomato sauce based products.
Well I have a simple solution for you and you will never be embarrassed at the lunch table again. It will even eliminate odors from the containers left too long in the car. You can use this cleaning tip for any type of plastic container including drinking pitchers to eliminate tea and kool-aid stains.

• For sandwich size or soup bowl size container......
• Clean storage container with soap and water. Rinse well
• Dry with towel
• Add 1/4 cup baking soda to container
• Add 1 cup luke warm water to container
• Place lid on container and shake until baking soda dissolves. (It is important that all baking soda dissolves.)
• Let set overnight or for at least 8 hours
• Remove lid carefully and empty container of all baking soda and water
• Clean again with soap and water. Rinse well
• Enjoy a cleaner and fresher smelling food container
