How to Solve Issues With USB Game Controller:

Does your pc display messages like "unknown usb device" anytime you plug in ur game controller after it has been installed previously? do you keep restarting the pc and yet no solutions? Then this is the long lasting solution.no need for unnecessary restarting of ur pc.

• While the game controller is still plugged in, open device manager (the fastest way is Click 'Start', Click 'Run', then type 'devmgmt.msc' and press 'enter').a dialogue box showing all ur pc hardware should display.(or u can go to control panel, open system,click on the hardware tab and then click device manager.)
• click 'universal serial bus controllers' and then right click 'unknown device' and then click 'uninstall'.the unknown device should be removed from the device manager
• unplug the usb game controller.
• open control panel and right click a blank space and click refresh. Also refresh the desktop.
• wait for 10 secs and then replug the usb game controller.then go to control panel and click game controllers. the usb game controller should be recognized. if it is in the list, then click on it and click properties and make sure it is responding

How to Convert Gamepad to Arcade Joystick:

"Padhacking" allows users to convert their standard console gamepads into arcade joysticks that can be used with their home system. The process involves removing the printed circuit board (PCB) from the standard controller and soldering the arcade connections to the PCB board. This process is not without risks, as improper handling of the PCB could damage it and render it useless

• Unscrew the screws on the back of the gamepad to remove the casing from the PCB.
• Set the PCB down on the non-conductive towel and plug it into the system you are building the arcade stick for. Turn on the system and tap the various paths on the PCB with the wire. Write a note of what commands occur when each path is tapped.
• Solder a hook-up wire to each of the paths on the PCB for the face buttons of the controller.
• Use the crimper to crimp a quick connect crimp connector to the loose end of each of the hook-up wires.
• Solder the joystick harness to the directional pad paths on the PCB.
• Secure the PCB to the joystick case with the fastening screws. Feed the wire that connects the PCB to the console out of the case via the connection cable hole in the front of the case.
• Insert the arcade buttons into the button holes on the arcade stick case.
• Connect the hook-up wires to the various arcade buttons to achieve the desired button layout for the arcade stick.
• Insert the joystick into the joystick hole on the arcade stick case. Secure it with fastening screws.
• Plug the joystick wiring harness into the joystick harness connector on the joystick.
• Place the back panel on the arcade stick
