Operation:

- The laser can be bright enough when you light it in normal temperature, so you had better not light the laser pointer continually over 30 seconds

- Operate at a wavelength between 630 nm and 680 nm
- Have a maximum output less than 5 mW, the lower the better

08-23-2010- Pros: very tiny, about the size of my hand, but it can light up an entire back yard or a large room with ease. its truly a sight to see when the moving dots make the entire room look like its spinning. ladies and children LOVE it and i even turn it on when no ones around just because its relaxing. very good price compared to other lasers and a full metal durable design. laser is strong enough to still be visible in a lit room. ITS A GOOD BUY.
- Cons: not many bad things i can say about this. the cord is about 6 feet long so you would need an extension cord if your screwing it to a high ceiling. also, when there's no music or background noise the unit makes a kind of grinding sound as the lasers spin.
- Other Thoughts: this product is definitely worth the price. i hooked the laser (along with my stereo) to a switch in my living room and when i flip the switch its an instant party that impresses anybody. i've had this laser for a year already and i have had zero problems with it.

04-08-2011- Other Thoughts: The first one I bought Stage Lighting Laser worked well for several years before becoming inconsistent in producing a functional pointing light. I bought the same model just assuming something had happened to the earlier one, and I wanted to be able to reuse parts.

- What is Laser?
A laser is a device that emits light (electromagnetic radiation) through a process called stimulated emission. The term laser is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission.
- How does it really work?
The Laser Stars Projector utilizes a state of the art Diode Pumped, Solid State (DPSS) green laser combined with custom developed multiphase diffractive holographic optics, super luminous diodes and precision motors to produce the laser stars effect. The coherent light produced by the DPSS laser passes through a passive diffractive holographic optical element, which in turn passes through a circular periodicity electromechanical wheel, which is driven by a precision motor to create the soothing motion of the star field.
- what is the Laser Stars Projector really?
It's a unit about 10inches tall that projects a combination of green laser stars and blue (slightly ultraviolet-ish blue) clouds onto your ceiling, walls, pets, etc. Both the clouds and the stars are constantly moving and morphing, just like a proper Universe should. And there are literally thousands of green laser stars to look at. There are two ways you can adjust your Laser Stars Projector, first you can pivot the projector itself 180 degrees horizontally around the base so that you can control *where* it is projecting in your room. It can literally fill up an entire ceiling and portions of several walls at once. And the other thing you can adjust is the intensity of the blue gaseous clouds, from zero to full intensity.
