04-10-2011- Other Thoughts: I found actual speed of transfering data with this device mainly depends on SATA drives. With my existing SATA drives (mostly WD), its usual transfer rate range is 30MB-60MB/s but one of my old SATA drive hit 1MB-10MB/s. Still nothing else can beat this kind of speed for backup. Drive copy has never been this easy. 1TB hard disk copy was done over night. With this speed, I don't really worry about frequent backup much.

04-04-2011- Other Thoughts: I love this thing! If you have Dual SATA on your computer, you can map both slots, other wise you might want to use USB and take the speed hit. If you do use SATA don't think its like USB and instantly remove your SATA drives (if you like your data).

03-10-2011- Other Thoughts: I expected the drives to be a bit wobbly or insecure, but even newer shallow 3.5" drives fit well, as do 2.5" drives. I've been completely satisfied with this unit. It is larger than I expected having not carefully read the dimensions, but that lends to its stability. I still would have bought it.
