How to Benefit Most from Massage Therapy:

    • Choosing the right massage therapist is very important. The type of masseuse you choose will depend upon why you are getting a massage. Massage therapists specialize in many areas. The following are just a few: relaxation, sports injuries, car accidents, chronic pain. From there, their specialties may be broken down even further. The experience of many therapists is limited to the back while others may have additional skills within the neck and head regions of the body. Do your homework. Choosing the wrong masseuse will leave you wanting your money back. Ask several massage therapists in your area what their patients primarily come in seeking treatment for

    Home Massager

    • Make sure you are warm and relaxed before your massage starts. It isn't uncommon to lay on a massage table 5-10 minutes before your massage starts. This is something people in our fast-paced world may find irritating. However, it is a sign of a good massage therapist. This indicates that your masseuse wants you to get the most out of your massage. If you need to, relax for half an hour, or take a warm bath before going to your appointment. The looser your muscles are, the better your masseuse can target the root causes of your pain or discomfort

    Relax Massager

    • After your massage, it is tempting to crawl under your bed covers, jump into a warm bath or go hot tubing. Instead, stay away from these heat builders. Put a cold ice pack onto the area your therapist worked out. Make sure the ice pack covers a large enough area

    • Heat causes the blood to stop flowing. Cold gets your blood circulating--allowing your body to flush out the unwanted waste materials your therapist just worked up

    Head Spa Massager

    • Drink lots of water. Water after a massage helps the body flush out any accumulated materials in the muscles which were released during the massage. Without step 3 and 4, you might instead build up waste materials, causing muscle aches and soreness after your massage

00:00:00 11-30-2010 So Worth Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: This relax massager has and adjustable head strap with a knob that turns so you get it to fit exactly how you want it. There's various nature music that plays inside it if you want, and a heat option. It vibrates and squeezes and has different time settings. Highly recommended

00:00:00 11-30-2010 Good Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because its somewhat annoying to take the time to adjust it to fit on my head just right. Other than that I highly recommend this for people who get a lot of tension in their upper necks. Overall, it is a nice relax massager i had!

00:00:00 11-02-2010 So Worth It Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: This home massager relieves so much tension/pressure/stress. My mom suffers from awful migraines (has to take shots), so I bought her one for her birthday and she is even more impressed than I am. She still takes her medicine, but says this helps it much faster and relieves so much pressure with the intense squeezing.

00:00:00 10-19-2010 Work well for me Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: I also have one of those copper wire whisk-looking head massagers too, but it only relaxes me if someone else massages my scalp for me - and it doesn't relieve any pressure from my headaches like this thing does.

00:00:00 10-05-2010 nice massager Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: The description of this home massager says you can use it at work or in the car, but even at the lower settings it caused enough vibration to distort my vision so I'm not sure I'd recommend much more than attempting to walk across the living room. In fact, using it while watching TV might GIVE you an eyestrain headache. Aside from that, it's OK.

00:00:00 09-28-2010 Works well Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: Overall, this home massager is more comfortable than it looks. The rubber pads are soft, and it doesn't squeeze or pinch. I don't detect anything that could actually qualify as acupressure. It just sits on your head and vibrates. The control allows variable levels of vibration, and the design works pretty well for tension headaches that land at the base of your skull and top of your neck. But not the same tingly sensation as the spider-like massager.

00:00:00 09-14-2010 It may look funny but it works Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: Yes, this head spa massager looks funny and you may feel and look stupid wearing it but don't let that stop you from getting something that will really help you. I got whiplash from a car wreck in 1997. I just purchased one of these Spartan helmet looking things about a month ago because I have head-aches so often. My mom tried it and wants one too so I got her this one on Amazon. I use mine about twice to three times a week for about an hour each time just before bed. It works very well for me. The stress of the day sort of just melts away and I feel much more relaxed, fall asleep faster and feel great the next morning. The only thing bad I could say about it is that I wish it also had pads on the sides for your temple area. Maybe that will be in the next version...

00:00:00 09-02-2010 Great for relaxing Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: I get headaches a lot from tension in my upper neck/lower head. This little vibrating helmet relax massager does a nice job of relieving that tension! Of course, I wasn't expecting a deep neck massage or temple massage - it just has a vibrating motor on the top of the helmet that sends the vibrations to the many "pressure points" throughout the helmet - but I just spend a little time adjusting the helmet to fit my head perfectly (especially on the upper neck) and the vibrations did a nice job of relieving my headache!
