How to amplify a cable signal:
- Go to Best Buy or Radio Shack and look for a slitter/amplifier. This device should have a few female cable jacks on it, and a power source that you will plug into the wall. These are great because you feed the cable input into the splitter/amplifier, and it amplifies the output to prevent signal loss
- Pick up an extra cable extension cord to connect your television to the line. This will have two male ends
- When you get home, plug the cable from the wall jack into the "INPUT" on the splitter/amplifier
- Plug the outgoing cable into the "OUTPUT" on the splitter/amplifier and into the TV
- Connect any other cables to the splitter/amplifier that were going to other television sets from the original cable feed from the wall jack
- Plug in the splitter/amplifier, and you are all set! Get some popcorn and watch TV
