    About Roller Skating Parties:

If you are looking to have a party but don't want to worry about preparing your home, you may want to try a roller skating party. Rolling skating parties are fun for people of all ages. Such a party will ensure that everyone has a good time whether they skate, watch or just enjoy the food and company.

    • There are two types of roller skating parties that you can choose from.
    • You can choose to use a local roller skating rink and take advantage of their party package. You will have to pay the skating fee for each person, pizza and a drink for everyone, and you would need to bring your own cake.
    • Another option is to have an outdoor skating party. You can find a location with a good size area for skating, such as a paved backyard or playground or church parking lot that you can rent for a few hours. You would only have to pay for rental fee of the outdoor area, and could bring hot dogs, drinks, and cake. You will also want to bring a stereo to play your own music and set up cones to direct traffic. Guests could bring their own roller skates or blades.

    Time Frame:

    • Three hours is more than enough time for a roller skating party. Allow 90 minutes to two hours of skating time, as well as time for food, resting and presents. If you use a roller skating rink, they will probably allot you two hours for the party. Don't forget to allow yourself enough time to set up the party and clean up afterward.

    • When deciding to throw a roller skating party you should consider the age and maturity of those who will be attending. Make sure that the invited people like to roller skate. Also make sure that you have plenty of supervision and invite parents if you are having a roller skating party for young children. The most ideal age groups for roller skating parties are probably preteens and young teens as they need less supervision and are not too old to think that skating is for babies. Active adults will probably enjoy a rolling skating party as well.

    • By having a roller skating party you can eliminate the stress of having a party at your home. Guests will enjoy themselves as the party is centered around a major activity. It will be hard to not have a good time at a roller skating party.

    • If you are going to have a skating party, ensure the safety of all involved. Make sure the guests understand the skating rules, such as no pushing, and wearing safety gear if possible. Make sure any outdoor areas you use for your skating party are free of pebbles and other debris. Also, be sure to have enough supervision to help prevent problems. It is wise to keep a first aid kit with you in case there are accidents.

    How to Ride in-line skates?

    • The first step for learning how to ride in-line skates is finding shoes that fit just right. The shoes shouldn't be too loose or too tight. They have to be comfortable for riding around everywhere.
    • The next step is finding the perfect place for practicing. You have to start off by finding a place that doesn't have any bumps, rocks, sticks or anything on the floor. When you start riding, the simplest thing can make you fall down, so make sure you find a smooth surface like an empty parking lot or a park.
    • Now you should start off by riding on one regular shoe and one roller blade. Doing this will help you gain balance on one foot.
    • After you have practiced many times and you can balance one foot on the roller blade and one foot on your regular shoe you are ready for the next step.
    • The next step is to wear both roller blades and stay next to a wall so that you can hold yourself up. The wall will help keep you balanced and in case you were about to fall you could hold on.
    • You can start off going really slowly and holding the brake every time you feel like you might fall. Even if you fall, it's okay, just make sure you have protections. A few falls are normal and they will encourage you to keep going so you can reach your goal.
    • After that you have to practice going further, but slower. It's very important that you go slowly because you might not be able to control the break yet. So DO NOT go fast until you have practiced with the brake many times. If you go fast and you can't control the brake, you will crash. It will not be a fall; it will be a crash, which will hurt you very badly. So practice stopping on a slower pace and then gradually increase your pace.
    • Once you mastered these steps, you are ready to go. However, stay away from busy streets and cars. I say this because if you ever lose control and can't break on time, you will jump right into the street and the result will be horrible. So until you have mastered everything, stay away from busy places.

Great For the Money.

I got these and they are awesome and fast. Great price here with amazon and free shipping no other store could beat their price. Comfy well padded skate. Where else can you get an abec 9 bearing on a skate under $? I do recommend ordering one size up from reg shoe size. I wear an 8 and ordered the 9 and its a perfect fit. size 8 was way too tight.

Great skates!
00:00:00 04-01-2011
I just got these. Awesome bearings, good wheel size, the boot is comfortable enough and feels secure. It's a great quality for this price, last season is my guess. <br/>The previous reviewer is wrong about sizing, skates should fit as tight as possibly without being uncomfortable: you toes should touch the front when your legs are straight, but not touch it when you bend your knees. I'm an 8 with a medium width and these in a size 8 with sports socks are perfect. Remember liners mold to your feet, you buy one size up and your feet will start to flop around... not very safe. You are not supposed to feel like you are wearing slippers, so get you true size.

Love these!

I needed something to keep up with my four year old on her scooter while we went for walks instead of having to jog beside her all the time and i miss roller blading.. so i'm not a professional by any means.. but i love these! it scared me at first cause they are quite a bit smoother/faster than my pair i had as a child but i've learned to control it.. they're very comfy and secure.. i do recommend getting your size and not a size up.. they fit perfectly!

Awesome Skates!
00:00:00 03-18-2011
I bought these for my 5 yr. old son and the teal ones for my 6 yr. old daughter and they love them. I checked out alot of skates before making a decision. I went with the Mongoose skates because they have good bearings, 70mm wheels, which are a good size for beginners, two straps and laces for support, they adjust 4 sizes so they will last for years, they look good and the price is low. I was skeptical to buy them before looking at them but they were shipped quickly and I was impressed when I opened them up, they are well made. My kids say they are comfy and sturdy and they skate all the time.

I bought these for my 9 year old grandson. He has loved them. They fit great and he says he's faster than any of his friends because of the easy, smooth roll of the wheels. Bought my other grandsons the Schwinn skates and they all like these better. The price was great.

Hard Boot InLine Skates.
00:00:00 03-09-2011
Bought this for my 11 year old son - he is a size 5 and these fit him wonderfully. He has used them several times at the skating rink and says they feel great. The wheels do not slip on the smooth rink floor (I actually bought him another pair originally and had to return them because he couldn't skate at the rink - they were slipping all over the place). These are great skates and they look great on problems so far.

Velocity InLine Skates
00:00:00 03-03-2011
We bought these skates for our ten year old son after trying several other brands. He loves them. They are comfortable, easy to put on, and very smooth skating-wise. He has worn them inside and outside the house and they wear well. He actually loves to skate around the house in them (which we have allowed because of the cold weather and snow). He has made sure not to use the brake while inside the house and has not scratched the floor at all. We definitely recommend these skates for all kids. They are inexpensive and the good news is that they can be resized as your child's feet grow.
