How to Use a Mic With an iPod Touch:



The fourth-generation iPod touch comes with a built-in mic you can begin using immediately. While the second- and third-generation models of the device do not have built-in mics, owners of a second- and third-generation iPod touch can purchase an external mini mic that plugs into the headphone jack to use with their iPods. Alternatively, users can purchase earphones with a built-in mic. You can use the mini mic to record voice memos or use the Voice Control feature to control music playback on your iPod touch

• Plug an external mini mic into your headphone jack. You can also plug in an earphone/mic combo device
