How to Fix Jacket Zippers?
Jackets typically have tooth zippers. This simply means that they have plastic teeth. A #5 is a normal, medium-sized zipper for a jacket. If you are making your own jacket, you can purchase a zipper at any fabric or craft store. You can also replace the zipper on a store-bought jacket. Zippers can break or stop working for a variety of reasons; typically you can fix them without completely replacing the zipper.
Slider Does Not Work:
- Place the teeth of the zipper into the correct grooves of the slider.
- Squeeze the sides of the zipper slider with a pair of pliers. Make sure to do it gently and not to over-squeeze them. You want it to be able to still slide up and down.
- Gently pull the slider up and down to ensure that it is fixed.
Zipper Pull Breaks:
- Pull open one end of the arch that holds the pull to the zipper slider, using a pair of pliers. Be sure not too pull it open too far, or it may break. You just need it open enough to extract the zipper pull.
- Slide the zipper pull off.
- Place another zipper pull under the arch. This can be a purchased item, a key chain, or a simple thread loop.
- Using pliers, close the arch back again.

04-08-2011- Other Thoughts: I saw the add for this jacket in a magazine, looked cool so I decided to do some research on it. The price was a bargain, the materials were just what I needed, so I decided to buy it. When I got it I was surprised that the fit was great on me ( I'm a small guy). When I took it on my first trip I was amazed of how great it was. On the second trip I was already in love with this guy, the product is a must have if you're a backpacker. You'll love it too.

03-31-2011- Other Thoughts: Took this jacket to Sweden in December during their record "cold snap".
High temeperature in the teens during the middle of the day. This thing
performed wonderfully.

03-23-2011- Other Thoughts: Purchased this jacket because I wanted something light weight to wear when driving. I normally wear this jacket with a light sweater underneat and it keeps me surprisingly warm. The only thing I don't like about the jacket is that it makes a cracking noise because of the silver lining. Other than that it is comfortable and I would most likly buy another one.

04-17-2011- Other Thoughts: The coat itself is very warm and lightweight, it's great if you don't want bulk.
It does seem to run small in the arms of all places. If you have muscular forearms or just a broader build, I would go a size up.

03-20-2011- Other Thoughts: Well i wasnt sure about what to expect of it,cause i bought it without seeing it,online...But results were more than amazing..its so very light, you dont expect that this kind of jacket can keep you warm under serious cold temperatures, and finally i tested it into heavy and snow weather conditions and yes...you can never go wrong wearing one of these babies..You can trust it..It will keep you warm..Columbia knows about bad weather eventually...!!!!
