Jewelry Organizer Ideas:
If your jewelry collection has gotten out of hand, you may want to organize it so you can see what you have and wear the right pieces with your clothing. Here are some easy and inexpensive ideas to tame your tangled trinkets- Earrings: Hang a cork board on the wall of your closet and push the earrings into it. Keep the earring backs in a small box on the closet shelf. You can also make an earring holder out of a picture frame and wire mesh such as for a screen door.
- Rings: Make a ring box similar to those padded sections of jewelry boxes that they come in. All you need is a cigar or other wood box and some soft fabric -- velvet, felt or even an old sweater will do.
- Cut the fabric to fit the width of the box, then fold it accordian-style to fit the length of the box. Place your rings between the folds
- Necklaces and Bracelets: Many commercial necklace organizers are available, but if you want to save some money, all you need is a belt, tie, cup or key rack. You can nail the rack inside your closet door or wall and hang your necklaces from the hooks to keep them untangled
- Alternately, buy one of the desktop-sized trees hobby stores sell for hanging miniature seasonal ornaments. Instead of hanging ornaments on them, hang your collection of necklaces and bracelets
How to Hang Jewelry in a Storage Organizer:
Even a modest jewelry collection can become cluttered and unmanageable without an effective storage method for keeping everything neat and organized. Depending upon your space, you may require something small that can sit on a dresser top, or you may opt for something larger you can hang on a wall. Hang jewelry in a storage organizer to keep your earrings, bracelets, and necklaces where you can see them, to enable you to wear your favorite jewelry often- Select a storage organizer that fits your needs. Purchase something with an adequate number of hooks for hanging your dangling earrings, as well as space for post earrings as well, if necessary. Look for an organizer with a sufficient number of hooks for both bracelets and necklaces. A freestanding organizer that sits on a flat surface may work well for you, or you may need something larger you can hang on a wall
- Organize your earrings first. Make sure you have pairs of each earring and hook the dangling earrings through the holes designed to hold them. Place the shortest dangling earrings on top and the longer dangling earrings toward the bottom of the earring area to keep the longer earrings from dangling over the shorter earrings. Insert post earrings through the holes designed to hold these earrings
- Hang your bracelets over the hooks designed to hold bracelets. These hooks will be closer together than the hooks designed to hold necklaces. Place up to two or three bracelets on each hook (depending upon how many bracelets you have) to enable you to see each bracelet as it hangs in the organizer. If you have enough hooks, you may need to place only one bracelet on each hook. Place the larger and chunkier bracelets on the bottom-most row of hooks to keep these bracelets from hiding bracelets that are more delicate
- Place the necklaces on the hooks designed to hold necklaces. Place necklaces with similar coloring together on hooks to organize them more efficiently. By hanging necklaces of similar color together, you can simplify your necklace selection when you are looking for a necklace with certain colors in it. Place longer necklaces on hooks that allow for longer necklace length below, and shorter necklaces on hooks designed for shorter necklaces. Another option is to double a longer necklace on a hook to make it take less space below the hook
- Keep your jewelry pieces efficiently organized by always returning them to their proper storage hook after wearing

VERY HAPPY WITH THE AMOUNT OF JEWELRY IT HOLDS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS JEWELRY HOLDER TO ANYONE. I GOT IT TO REPLACE MY JEWELRY BOX THAT WAS REACHABLE TO MY DAUGHTER. 09-09-2011- Other Thoughts: Bought one jewelry holder for my fiance for her birthday. Was easy to install on her wall. She beams about it and seems to love organizing, and reorganizing her jewelry. Plus, I think we're actually less late for outings now that she can find the right "set" faster. She thinks I'm a genius. Like this earring holder very much!

11-09-2011- Other Thoughts: It is perfect in every single way. Not only can I use wall space to store my jewelry, it's MORE organized than it was in the huge jewelry cabinet. My necklaces don't get tangled now and I can see all of my stuff really easily. They made a spot for EVERYTHING and it actually made putting everything on there kind of fun. It looks nice, too, and was easy to hang.

09-28-2011- Other Thoughts: For years all my jewelry was stuffed into a box, drawers, all over... i could never find anything let alone untangle it. NOW I have the best pieces hanging up and have no problem looking good with the right accessories! The earring rack fits all of my best and favorite things and i havent gone back to my old jewekry box for anything.. out of sight out of mind they say! <br/>Love my jewelry holder! Its in my bathroom where i get dolled up and I have hair stuff and a candle on top!
