What are LED Lights?
- LED stands for "light-emitting diode." LED lights are extremely small semiconductor diodes that are capable of creating light. The light that is created by any given LED can be of any color and can even be ultraviolet or infrared. The light that is created by an LED light depends on the material that is used to make the semiconductor and the current that is run though it. How Do LED Lights Work?

03-01-2011- Other Thoughts: This LED Ceiling Light is just as bright as the 7 watt energy suckers.Very white light,works well with,or without cover.Puts out very little heat-safe around small children.They cost more,but LED's last "bu-ku",a long time!

03-23-2011- Other Thoughts: As other reviewers have noted, this bulb is dim. I wanted to use it to light a closet where a dimmer bulb would be fine, but after installing it, the bulb turned out to be too dim for the closet. I now use it in a lamp that is used like a night light. But consider its price, this white light LED bulb is good enough.

04-18-2011- Other Thoughts: Works in my automatic night light. It is the brightest LED night light bulb I've ever used and has a white light with a barely noticeable tint of soft blue glow. This is exactly what I've been looking for.

04-26-2011- Other Thoughts: We bought this LED light bulb for a night light for our duaghter's bedroom to replace a standard 12w incandescent (glowing filament) candelabra bulb which was too bright for night use and to save electricity costs (since it's on for 8 or more hours at a time). <br/>The bulb runs cool to the touch which makes it safer and LED bulbs are known to last in the thousands of hours so I shouldn't ever have to replace it again. It's not a fire hazard like an incandescent bulb. For its size it gives off a lot of light however the room is now significantly darker than with the incandescent bulb. <br/>It's good to alleviate our daughter's anxiety about the dark but it is dim enough to the point that we can not clearly see our daughter's face from her doorway when she is sleeping at a distance of 9 feet. We can only make out her silhouette but not if her eyes are open or closed.

04-05-2011- Other Thoughts: I was looking for a best led light bulb that would run cooler and more efficiently. This one works perfectly, and I like the hue of it much better than the traditional bulbs.
