Color Temperature:
- The photos below were taken in a dark room, without pre-setting the camera or editing the photos afterwards
- Different color temperatures of the LED bulbs can be seen on the trim of the terracotta pot and on the cactus
- The first photo the object was illuminated with cool light. The cool light is the brightest
- The second photo natural white was used, it is similar to sunlight.
- The third photo the warm white can be seen, which is similar to the color of tungsten lighting and halogen lights

The Kelvin Scale:- Color temperature has important applications in lighting. The color temperature of a light source is usually measured in Kelvin's (K) at which the heated black-body radiator matches the color of the light source is that source's color temperature

- Higher color temperatures (5000 K or more) are "cool" (green-blue) color, and lower color temperatures (2700-3000 K) "warm" (yellow-red) color
Type of Fitting:
- On the pictures below the most common fittings are shown. If you know your fitting, you can easily find the right LED bulbs equivalent

What are LED Lights?
- LED stands for "light-emitting diode."
- LED lights are extremely small semiconductor diodes that are capable of creating light
- The light that is created by any given LED can be of any color and can even be ultraviolet or infrared
- The light that is created by an LED light depends on the material that is used to make the semiconductor and the current that is run though it
- There are many different types of LEDs, including miniature ones, as well as high-powered LEDs and multicolor variations
How Do LED Lights Work?
- LED lights work very similarly to standard light bulbs except for the fact that LEDs are much smaller and contain no filament
- Instead of a filament, an LED creates light using nothing but the movement of electricity along the path of its semiconductor
- As the electrons stream across the semiconductor, they create electromagnetic radiation. Some forms of this electromagnetic radiation can take the form of visible light, which humans can perceive via sight
What Are LED Lights Used For?
- There is an almost inexhaustible supply of applications for LED lights, some of which have already been realized and others that are currently being implemented
- Within the world of electronics LED lights are used in traffic lights, screen displays, computers, brake lights and any other application which requires a bright, inexpensive and long-lasting light
- They also are used in the burgeoning field of photonic textiles and as a source of light in places where high temperatures cannot be tolerated. Indeed, LED lights are one of the most important technologies in contemporary electronic products and many such products would be impossible without them

11-14-2011- Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace some lights that went out in a place I just moved into. I hunted around and found this to be the best deal I could find: 10.000 hours, bright bulbs, awesome price.

05-01-2011- Other Thoughts: I have had these for quite a while now without any problems. This E27 LED light bulb is much better than the cheaper LED bulbs that are sold in drugstores. A worthwhile investment!

02-17-2011- Other Thoughts: Bright warm white light exactly where I want it. Doesn't drift, and illuminate outside the place I point it. Isn't that the reason you get spotlights?

12-31-2010- Other Thoughts: My house A/C tends to make transformers and dimmed lightbulbs buzz (after local power utility reworked the neighborhood - wasn't always as bad). <br/>Anyways I was very surprised to see that this bulb dims very nicely with my Insteon dimmer. It turns off completely and does not buzz at low dim levels. It's light is slightly blue and directed much like a small 12v flood would be. I really like it for my multi-media room, where I regularly have several lights on. Some may prefer the warmer version of this light if it is to be mixed with conventional lights, as it definitely makes other lights near it look yellow. Was nervous before getting this bulb as it is expensive and I have only read reviews of bad experiences of people trying to dim LED bulbs with Insteon dimmers. So happy it works for me.

12-17-2010- Other Thoughts: I've tried a number of LED light bulbs, and this Warm White LED Bulb is impressive. It is very reasonalbly priced and gives fairly warm lighting. In certain situations, (color of the room, the lamp, ect), it gives off a very attractive glow. In others, it can look like a florescent. It is the equivalent to 30 watts of a standard bulb, but for under $10, you can't beat the price.

11-13-2010- Other Thoughts: This was my first LED Light Bulb purchase--a quest to generate less carbon dioxide and save electricity dollars. I expected to experiment with this bulb in several fixtures until I found the optimum use for it. I'm about three months into using it for bedside reading in a lamp which has a horizontally-mounted socket. It does a superb job replacing the incandescent 30 watt spotlight bulbs I previously used, at a savings of 95% over the tungsten filament watt-hours. It does provide a rather narrowly focused beam at such a close range (about two feet) but the light is brilliantly white and the bulb burns cool with no discernible thermal losses. If the bulb lasts for even half of its advertised 50k hours I will have saved many dollars over the incandescent spot lamps (at 2k hours and about $3 apiece) which get quite hot and fail abruptly if they are accidentally bumped. Anybody can find a money-saving use for this bulb with a little experimentation.

11-13-2010- Other Thoughts: I know this GU10 LED Bulb is expensive, but it does put out the light of a standard 60W bulb. The color temperature is indeed warm white, I may buy another one or two to replace Florescent bulbs that are in hard to get to areas, since these LED bulbs will last a lifetime.
