History of Necklaces:
Necklaces have been an integral part of jewelry since the time of ancient civilizations. The birth of necklaces is believed to be as old as the Stone Age, which is around 40,000 years old. At that time, people were decorating themselves with mollusk necklaces. Later, necklaces made of stones, bones, shells and animal teeth became popular. After the discovery of metals, gold, silver and a variety of other metals were used to make eye-catching necklaces for both men and women

- Sautoir or Rope Necklace: A sautoir or rope necklace is any necklace longer than opera length
- Uniform Necklace: A uniform necklace consists of pearls that appear to be all the same size, although normally there is a slight difference towards the ends so they appear to be in proportion

Guide to Clean Necklace & Charms:
- First you will need to get a sterling silver dry polishing cloth. Most of the time you can find one of these at an authorized Pandora jewelry retailer. If not check your local jewelry store
- Remove all of the charms and clips from your Pandora bracelet and sit them off to the side
- Use the polishing cloth to gently rub the bracelet starting at one end and working your way to the other end. Be very careful not to twist or pull on the bracelet, this could cause damage to it. Once you have completely worked your way over the entire bracelet, examine it, if you still see dark or dull areas go back over that spot again until it is shiny silver
- Now that the bracelet is complete it is time to polish those charms. One by one use the dry polishing cloth to gently buff away any dark areas and make each charm shine like new again. Remember to keep repositioning your polishing cloth, the silver will leave dark marks on it, try to use a clean area of the cloth for each new charm
- Now you can reassemble your shiny clean Pandora bracelet once again

06-22-2012- Pros: Great value for money, looks great and light weight. Very easy to put on as the chain is big enough to go over the head.
- Cons: the chain and links may be a little flimzy but not too bad.
- Other Thoughts: goes great with most outfits. Owls are very popular at the moment.
