How To Measure:

What is Cosplay:
Cosplay short for "costume play" is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Characters are often drawn from popular fiction in Japan. Favorite sources include manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, graphic novels, video games, hentai and fantasy movies. Role play includes portrayals of J-pop and J-rock stars, Taiwanese puppet characters, science fiction characters, characters from musical stories, classic novels, and entertainment software. Any entity from the real or virtual world that lends itself to dramatic interpretation may be taken up as a subject. Inanimate objects are given anthropomorphic forms and it is not unusual to see genders switched, with women playing male roles and vice versa
How to be a Cosplayer:- To be a cosplayer you first need a costume. You can make your costume, either by sewing or by putting it together from already made pieces
- Find your accessories. Some costumes aren't complete without their accessories. For example, if you are cosplaying as Kaylee from the Sci-Fi show, "Firefly", it's helpful to have her rainbow parasol. It helps identify you as that character
- Find a place to wear your costume! Halloween is not the only day you can get dolled up in your favorite costume
- Pose and be nice. Some people will want to comment on your costume and / or take your picture. Posing for pictures is a really fun part of cosplaying
Cleaning Method:
- Wash with cold water below 30 degrees without bleaching
- Hand washing and hang to dry
- Avoid exposing under the sun directly for a long time
History of Harry Potter:

- Harry James Potter is the titular character and the protagonist of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
- The books cover seven years in the life of the lonely orphan who, on his eleventh birthday, learns he is a wizard. He attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn magic. Under the guidance of the kind headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Harry discovers that he is already famous throughout the wizarding world, and that his fate is tied with that of Lord Voldemort, the universally feared Dark wizard who killed Harry's mother and father. According to Rowling, the idea for both the Harry Potter books and its eponymous protagonist came while waiting for a delayed train from Manchester to London in 1990. She stated that her idea for "this scrawny, black-haired, bespectacled boy who didn't know he was a wizard became more and more real to me".[1] While she fleshed out the ideas for her book, she also decided to make Harry an orphan who attended a boarding school called Hogwarts. She explained in a 1999 interview with The Guardian: "Harry had to be an orphan - so that he's a free agent, with no fear of letting down his parents, disappointing them ... Hogwarts has to be a boarding school - half the important stuff happens at night! Then there's the security. Having a child of my own reinforces my belief that children above all want security, and that's what Hogwarts offers Harry."
- Her own mother's death on 30 December 1990 inspired Rowling to write Harry Potter as a boy longing for his dead parents, his anguish becoming "much deeper, much more real" than in earlier drafts because she related to it herself. In a 2000 interview with The Guardian, Rowling also established that the character of Wart in T. H. White's novel The Sword in the Stone is "Harry's spiritual ancestor."[3] Finally, she established Harry's birth date as 31 July, the same as her own. However, she maintained that Harry was not directly based on any real-life person: "he came just out of a part of me."
- Rowling has also maintained that Harry is a suitable real-life role model for children. "The advantage of a fictional hero or heroine is that you can know them better than you can know a living hero, many of whom you would never meet [...] if people like Harry and identify with him, I am pleased, because I think he is very likeable."

11-08-2010- Other Thoughts: My son loves it, and said that it is the best costume he received. The pointy hood will give protection even in the rain. After the holiday she can even use it as a bathrobe. The size Large fits her perfectly, reaching almost to the floor on her tall, thin frame. This item is priced fairly, and the convenience of having it shipped is well worth the cost.

11-12-2010- Other Thoughts: I ordered the robe for my 9-year-old granddaughter to wear for Halloween. She is a huge Harry Potter fan, having already read all the books. She loves the robe and I am impressed by how well-made it is. The soft material is warm enough to keep her comfortable while trick-or-treating on a cold night.

10-20-2010- Other Thoughts: This robe is a great option for people wanting "real" Harry Potter merchandise/costume stuff but not for a lot of money. Though the robe isn't the highest quality piece of craftsmanship (many loose threads and such), the details are accurate enough to create a convincing Harry Potter costume. Personally, I used it to be a student from Ravenclaw for Halloween and just covered up the burgundy hood lining and Gryffindor patch with a blue and silver scarf, and it worked just fine. I would recommend this robe to anyone looking to complete a Harry Potter look.

10-04-2010- Other Thoughts: This made the look! Everyone who knows anything about Harry Potter, knew that it represented the Gryffindor House! Perhaps expecting the worst made getting a nice, high-quality item that much better. And the bottom line is that the robe made my daughter amazingly happy. She wore it for days as she watched the movies a few more times than sanity should allow for. It looks the part and made her warm on the inside and outside. It does exactly what a kid's costume item should do.
