How to Use a Magnifying Glass:
- Experiment with several magnifying glasses to determine the strength that best suits your needs. Office supply stores are a good source for finding various types of glasses
- Hold the magnifying glass several inches above the text to be read. Move the glass up and down above the page until the best clarity is achieved
- Carry a small magnifying glass with you anytime you may need to sign a legal contract. Even if you wear glasses, this can help with reading the fine print in a loan agreement or automobile purchase or lease

01-25-2011- Other Thoughts: My wife purchased this lamp for cross stitching at night while we are watching tv. It replaces an older rattle prone cross stitch lamp. The LED is bright and allows her to direct the light to exactly where she needs it so that the light doesn't blind me while watching tv or even talking to her (the old one lit the room and tv like a runway). The magnification is great and she likes that portion. The only negative she spoke of was there is no place to clip the pattern she is following and thus has to pick it up and place it under the magnification when she needs it, but all else is great. She liked it so much she just bought another one to give to her aging dad for use while he does his crossword and game books. It will work terrific for him doing this.

01-19-2011- Other Thoughts: I bought this lamp for my great aunt and she cannot stop talking about it! She loves it for reading, crossword puzzles and her favorite hobby: needlepoint. It has a plug-in adaptor, but it also runs on batteries, so she can take it from the den to the bedroom to read at night. It's super bright and she can adjust it to whatever height she needs it.

12-07-2010- Other Thoughts: Good clear magnification at a resonable price. You can buy cheaper but the quality of these products would be inferior. Strong build quality but no pin to lock arm into base unit. Location screw was missing from carton when opened.
