How to Measure Yourself:
- Chest(A): Measure just under the arms and across shoulder blades with arms relaxed at side. Keep tape level
- Waist(B): Measure around the waist (Waist is taken where you bend)
- Shoulder(C): Measure from the inseam of the left outer shoulder across to the right shoulder seam
- Total Length(D): Measure from center base of the neck, down the spine to the waist
- Sleeve(E): With arm relaxed at side and slightly bent measure from center back neck, over point of shoulder down the outside of the arm to wrist bone
How to Decorate Homemade Sweatshirts:
- Take a clean sweatshirt and lie it flat across a table
- Pick a general theme for your sweatshirt. Choose fabric with fun shapes: images of fall leaves, Christmas ornaments or other objects. The shapes will help to define the concept for your sweatshirt
- Cut out shapes from the fabric. After cutting out the shapes, flip them over and place them on the table. Apply glue and affix them onto the front of the sweatshirt using fabric glue. Press the shapes down firmly so they dry flat. Allow them to dry for several hours
- Outline the object with gold or silver puff paint to make it stand out on the sweatshirt. Add some extra touches to the shirt to make it special. Consider writing your name or something else creative. If you do not want to use the fabric cut-outs at all, you can simply use the puff paint alone to decorate the sweathshirt
- Paint on items like stars, flowers or abstract designs. Use tiny paint brushes for adding precise details to your sweatshirt. Affix plastic jewels with the glue if desired
How to Shrink a Cotton Sweatshirt:
- Check the tag on your sweatshirt to determine if it susceptible to shrinking. If it is not 100 percent cotton, or if the tag says preshrunk, you probably will not be able to shrink your sweatshirt very much. Cotton blends and preshrunk fabrics may shrink slightly, but not enough to make a very noticeable difference
- Wash your sweatshirt in the washing machine with hot water and color-safe detergent. Color-safe detergent helps maintain the color of your sweatshirt as much as possible throughout the shrinking process. However, the high heat needed to shrink your sweatshirt may fade the colors as well
- Dry your sweatshirt in the dryer at the hottest heat setting possible until it is completely dry. After the drying cycle ends, let your sweatshirt cool in the dryer for 15 minutes
- Repeat the washing and drying process one or two more times to encourage more shrinkage
- Take your sweatshirt to the dry cleaner if it still has not shrunk sufficiently. According to Cotton Incorporated, steam pressing can also shrink cotton fabrics. Ask your dry cleaner if they can steam press your sweatshirt, and mention that you want it to shrink

05-04-2011- Other Thoughts: Perfect work clothing. Work in a warehouse all day with occasional outside labor so it battles the elements. Love the inside pocket. Wish I bought a smaller size though but still great.
