How to Hold Shoulder Strap Bags on Your Shoulder:
- Select a bag with a shoulder strap of a comfortable width for your shoulder. How to Remove Rust Stains From Dacron:
- Lay the Dacron on a flat outdoor surface, such as a parking lot or driveway, with the rust stains facing up. If it is windy, set heavy objects on each corner of the Dacron to keep it in place
- Instructions
- Pour 1/2 cup of mild detergent or soap into a gallon bucket and fill the remainder of the bucket with cool water
- Wet the Dacron using a water hose, and scrub the entire cloth with the cleaning solution and a medium-bristled scrub brush. Scrub with the seams, rather than across them
- Rinse the Dacron thoroughly using a water hose to remove all the soap from the cloth
- Apply acetone or rubbing alcohol to the end of a clean cloth and scrub the rust-stained areas to lift the stain. You may have to repeat the process several times until you completely lift the stain
- Rinse the cloth thoroughly to remove the acetone or rubbing alcohol from the Dacron. Allow the cloth to dry completely before using
Tips & Warnings
- If acetone or rubbing alcohol does not completely lift the stain, try using two parts hydrochloric acid to 100 parts warm water. Be sure to wear gloves and safety glasses when working with hydrochloric acid
- Do not let any corrosive cleaner sit on the Dacron for a long period of time, because it may weaken or eat through the fabric
