How to Re-Size a Canvas Belt:

Maybe you have a Canvas Belt, or maybe you purchased one for your child, these Canvas Belts are normally found at a reasonable price. But sometimes these only come in one size fits all... well, we know that isn't always the best fit. Don't despair, this is a quick way to get that Canvas Belt to fit perfectly.- First try the Canvas Belt on. If there is a lot of extra belt material hanging after you have fit in to your body, you're going to need to cut it.
- Figure out where you will need to cut the extra belt material. Mark where you want to cut it with a piece of tape, and take the belt off.
- Using a sharp Scissors cut the extra belt material off where you marked it. Try to cut this as straight as you can.
- Okay...I guess my Scissors weren't as sharp as I thought they were. I cut a frayed edge, which is actually fine. Your going to fix that in the next step.
- Using a Lighter or Matches, slowly run the flame over the cut edge of the Belt. This will seal the edge from unraveling and also get rid of the frayed edge.
- You will notice the frayed edge sealing itself. Keep going til the cut edge is completely sealed. This edge will be hot, don't touch it until it's cooled down in a few minutes.
- As you can see the material held the flame for a second,
- obviously just blow this out. (although it seems to go out itself) To prevent this, keep the flame at a slight distance.
- Let it cool off.... and that's, it try your Belt on. It should fit perfectly.
How to Wear an Army Dress Blues Belt:
The dress blues uniform is a special dress uniform used by different branches of the U.S. military, including the Marines and the Army. This uniform is only used during special occasions, such as a charity event, ball, wedding or funeral. Some military men also wear their dress blues uniform for church or special occasions that take place during their leave from the military. The dress blues belt is part of the uniform and comes with its own instructions.- Purchase the dress blues belt kit, which includes everything you need to put the belt together and fully assemble it. Check the contents before you start putting it together and make sure that all parts of the belt are included in the package. The kit includes the belt, a brass buckle, brass keeper and two brass D-rings.
- Attach a D-ring onto one end of the belt and slide it several inches onto the belt. Fold the material on that end of the belt under at the D-ring.
- Attach the buckle onto the opposite end of your dress blues belt. Push the buckle to the D-ring on the other end, making sure to include the folded-under material as you approach the D-ring. You should now have two layers of fabric inside the buckle, and the buckle and the D-ring should be on the same end of the belt.
- Add the keeper to the opposite end of the belt and slide it onto the belt material. Then place the D-ring onto the same end of the belt and push it several inches onto the belt. As you did in Step 2, fold the material on that end of the belt under at the D-ring.
- Push the keeper toward the D-ring at the fold, making sure to include both layers of folded material in the keeper as you approach the D-ring. The function of the keeper is to stop the components of the belt from moving once it's assembled. The keeper should now sit at one end of the belt and the buckle at the other. You can now latch the ends of the belt together.

09-28-2010- Other Thoughts: I agree fully with the previous reviews. The belt is clearly of high quality and comes at a reasonable price. Also, wanted to mention the belt is 2.25" wide. The miniature Maglite holsters will just barely fit on it though.

02-19-2010- Other Thoughts: The belts came as expected, however it took 3 days for them to be delivered, which I feel is rather long for such a small product.

03-27-2010- Other Thoughts: My husband is hell on almost all retail items. They break easily. The average lifespan is about 1-2 months tops. This belt is strong Military grade. Its been almost a year with this belt. Its not even worn. Maybe, I should consider getting him some more.

08-31-2010- Other Thoughts: Ahh, the web belt. So simple, yet usually you get charged an arm and a leg, because vendors know that you need it if you want to wear most vests and thigh rigs out there.

This one is the real deal, not an imitation, and comes at a modest price.
