How to Connect a DVR Recorder to a TV?



A DVR, or digital video recorder, allows you to pause, stop, rewind and record live television programming on your TV. You can then watch recorded shows later, and you can also pause, stop, rewind or fast forward these recorded programs using your DVR remote. Connecting a DVR to your television only requires a coaxial cable and an RCA cable that has red, white and yellow connectors.

• Find the red, white and yellow "A/V (audio/video) Out" jacks on the back of the DVR. Verify that you have "A/V In" jacks available on your TV.
• Connect one end of the RCA cable to "A/V Out" jacks on the DVR. Match the colors of the connectors to the colors on the jacks.
• Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the "A/V In" jacks on the television matching the colors again.
• Use a coaxial cable to connect your television input (cable, satellite or antenna)
