Width of Point

How to Remove Gel Pen Ink:
Smooth, gliding gel ink is a pleasure to write and draw with as you put pen to paper; however, the fun stops when you accidentally smear gel ink on fabric. Because gel ink has a different composition than ballpoint ink, you must treat a gel ink stain differently. With prompt attention and effort, you can remove or minimize a gel ink stain using common household products
- Measure 1 tsp. of ammonia and 1 gallon of warm water in the dishpan
- Add the recommended amount of laundry detergent for a small wash load to the dishpan
- Swirl the ingredients around slightly to mix them
- Place the stained fabric into the dishpan and push it down beneath the surface of the water. Allow the fabric to sit in the sudsy water for up to five minutes
- Scrub at the gel ink stain with the toothbrush to loosen and remove the stain. Continue scrubbing until you remove the stain completely
- Rinse the fabric under cool water
- Wash the garment in the washing machine using a standard wash cycle and a normal amount of laundry detergent
- Remove the garment when the wash cycle finishes and assess the stain. If the stain is gone, dry the garment in the dryer as usual. If the stain persists, repeat the pretreating process and wash it a second time

06-16-2011- Other Thoughts: I only use this pen for school because it writes really dark on index cards for note taking. When you can see your writing clearly, you tend to write neater. Sounds silly, but I tried it in. it isn't as good.

03-17-2011- Other Thoughts: This Smooth Ink Pen is my favorite pen. I am glad to see them here. Ink is smooth and it makes my writing look great. :) <br/> <br/>The only downside to this pen, for me, is that the ink dries out rather quickly. Pretty common for gel pens. Make sure you retract it when not in use. It also doesn't last as long as a standard ball point pen. I feel these things are a small price to pay for good looking documents though!

02-10-2011- Other Thoughts: I procured this Gel Ink Pen from the "hidden" office supply stash. Well now I know why it is such a well kept secret. For the past 35 years I have been using only right handed pens and pencils. This pen doesn't discriminate!! It works when writing with the left or right hand. This has opened up a whole new world for me!! Left handed writing is so freeing!! I once envied all my left handed friends but now I can take notes and hang with all my homeies!! Thank you Pilot!!!!!

01-19-2011- Other Thoughts: I had been using Gel Ink Pen since they came out but hated how the clip would always break off, making the barrels somewhat "disposable". i bought these for my mom. personally, i purchased the limited edition metal barrel when they were still only available overseas.
