How to Use Remote Capture on My Camera:

    Wireless Remote for Nikon DSLR

    • Install the software that comes with your camera. Most cameras built with USB interfaces come with the necessary software. For Canon DSLRs you use EOS Remote Capture, a feature included on the CD packed with the camera. However, if you have a Nikon you may need to purchase Nikon Capture or Capture NX2 separately
    • Alternatively, download the software. Breeze Systems offers DSLR Remote Pro for Windows, which is downloadable software to support remote capture on most Canon DSLR cameras. For Nikon cameras, Breeze offers NKRemote, which is also software supporting remote capture. Breeze's products work only on Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME or 98 SE. Canon Remote Capture X for Canons and Sofortbild (for Nikon cameras) can be used on any running OS X 10.1, 10.2 or newer
    • If using the camera's manufacturer's software, install all updates from their website
    • Attach the camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with the camera
    • Turn on the camera and start the remote capture. While most computers automatically detect the camera's presence and open the relevant remote capture tool for you, open it yourself and begin shooting photos from your computer

How to Release a Shutter Button:

    Wireless Remote for D90

Taking pictures is great way to bring home the memories. There are differences between still cameras and digital cameras, and one of the important differences is how to release the shutter button. Doing this correctly results in beautiful pictures devoid of fuzziness. Here is how to correctly release the shutter button for your digital camera

    • Turn on your digital camera. Line up your subject within the hash lines that appear on your viewfinder screen
    • Depress the shutter button halfway. Do this slowly. You feel the button stop. Don't press it further yet
    • Check to make sure your subject lines up in the field on your screen. If the picture is how you want it, press the shutter button the rest of the way down. You should then hear a click, and the flash should go off. Release the shutter button. You can now see the picture you took
    • Review the picture you just took. If it is not to your liking, erase it and retake the picture. Repeat the second and third steps for depressing the shutter button. Release the shutter button after you depress it all the way down and hear it click
    • Enjoy your pictures, and share them with your friends and family

13:56:53 12-26-2013 Nice range Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: Can't be beat for the price. I needed something for some light painting and pole exposures. I needed decent range and this will trigger your cameras to approx. 140 yards. After 140 yards you start missing some activations. I wish my little radio poppers would have this range. I like that it doesn't have one of the extendable antennas some of them have.

13:55:35 12-03-2013 Cheap and flexible remote trigger Overall:
  • Pros: This units are larger than most, but this is offset by the convenience of using AAA batteries. The receiver has an on/off button and a two-level shutter button. The transmitter has a two-level shutter button and a mode switch. The modes: - Single-shot mode. - Multiple-shot mode, where the transmitter will just trigger a shot per 0.5 sec. - Bulb mode, where the transmitter will hold the camera shutter for as long as you hold the button - if your camera is set to continuous mode then it will take lots of photos. - Timer mode, where the receiver will flash its light for a few seconds before triggering the shutter.
  • Cons: My only complaint is that there is no on/off switch, so the units could consume power whilst in your bag. Also the battery doors feel cheap - I'm not sure how long the plastic tabs will last, but I don't really mind.
  • Other Thoughts: I wanted a radio remote that took AAA batteries in both the transmitter and receiver, and was cheaper than the original cabled remote from the camera manufacturer. This cheap little device fulfills those specs.

00:00:00 11-10-2011 A must have for all D90 owners Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: As a D90 owner, I found this little device invaluable and would recommend it to anyone. The range is good and works as advertised. It's a bargain that is far more useful than you'd first imagine (camera shake, anyone?)

00:00:00 10-06-2011 Remote is very useful Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: I have to say that this is a pretty good accessory to have. The only con that I have ran accross is that it does not work from directly behind the camera, but that's solved by using it from the side. Hope this helps!!

00:00:00 09-17-2011 Does what it is supposed to do! Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: This Wireless Shutter Remote Control for Nikon works well with Nikon DSLR (my tests) and is compatible with several other Nikon cameras. The range is acceptable and it comes with batteries pre-installed. There is no documentation, but it is a no-brainer. It also comes with a little fabric case that you can thread through your camera neck strap for safekeeping.

00:00:00 08-31-2011 Works great! Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: The first time you depress you see the timer icon, next time you will see the remote and the timer, and the third time you depress the timer button you will only see the remote icon. This is the setting that I used. Leave the camera on of course move away keeping the camera pointed at you in the direct line of the remote (like a TV remote control)and push the button. The camera remote works great!

00:00:00 08-10-2011 Some tips! Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: One thing to remember is to set the camera's time to receive the signal. The camera automatically turns off after a certian amount of time. If this happens, it won't accept it until you turn it back on. If you'll be taking a lot of shots, just change the camera's setting to look for the remote for 5 minutes or so. This wireless remote is wonderful!

00:00:00 07-07-2011 Nice Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: In bulb mode I do the same. Press the timer 3x to get it ready, press to start the shot and step away. Come back and press the button again and it stops the shot. Works just like it is supposed to.

00:00:00 06-30-2011 a must have Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: With this wireless remote, you get the same basic operation as a cable release as well as a bonus that you can put yourself in front of the lens and use the remote to trip the shutter release. It also works in combination with the self timer. One small concern is that because it's an remote, you must point it at the sensor, which is on the front of the camera.

00:00:00 06-04-2011 Nice Shutter Remote Control Overall:
  • Other Thoughts: This means that if you are composing a photograph and push the shutter button half way down to focus the image and you then stand in front of the camera and push the remote button, the image will not focus because you've already pushed the camera shutter release button half way down to focus. To get the image to focus while you are standing in front of the camera, compose the shot but do not push the camera's shutter release button half way down, get in front of the camera and then push the button.
