I bought this so I'd never have to deal with the selftimer (and the confusion it creates) again. On my E-500, it works with a 0sec and 2sec delay (preferred, so you have a little time to compose yourself/the group).

I bought this to go with my Olympus E-620. It does make photo taking so much easier. Basically this gadget will only take the photo, it won't zoom with my camera. Though when I bought it, it said it would work my camera.

I decided on the Wireless Remote Control for my Olympus E-520, because I wasn't sure how much I'd use it and the price point was much better than the Olympus-brand RM-1. I've actually used it more often than I thought I would and this remote works great. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm glad that I didn't pay more for the Olympus brand remote.

Awesome accessory! <br/>I am known as "the photographer" with all my friends. Many pictures have been taken, but I barely appear in any of them. <br/>I use it for my Olympus E500. The Zooming option does NOT work, but I knew that prior to buying. All I needed was a way to shoot randomly without relying on the Timer. Not Release Cables are made for this camera so it was a smart move. <br/>No I am in the pictures. =)
