How to Maintain a Kitchen Brush:
- Rinse the kitchen brush under water after every use. Rinse any food particles out the brush's bristles to keep them from getting bacteria onto the brush
- Place 1/2 tsp. of dish soap on the kitchen brush and scrub it with your hands under warm water for two minutes. Scrub the handle of the brush as well as the bristles. Rinse the brush off when you're done washing it
- Place the kitchen brush in the dishwasher weekly to sanitize it. Load it on the top rack of the dishwasher to avoid melting any plastic parts. Be sure your brush is dishwasher-safe before you place it in the dishwasher
- Fill a glass bowl full of water and place the kitchen brush inside of it. Place the kitchen brush in the microwave and heat it for three to five minutes or until the water boils. Allow the water to boil for one minute to kill any excess germs on the brush. Carefully remove the bowl and brush with potholders and be careful to not spill the boiling water. Do not put the brush in the microwave if it has any metal parts or parts not suited for the intense heat
How to Clean Kitchen Brushes:
- Remove loose debris from your kitchen brush with your fingers. It is easier to do this if you are not wearing rubber gloves and if you are running warm water over the brush. Rinse the brush off
- Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands and fill a gallon container with hot water. The hot water will loosen any stubborn debris that may be clinging to the brush bristles, such as melted cheese. Add 1 tsp. of bleach to the water. The bleach will sanitize the brush
- Add a squirt of liquid dishwashing soap and work up some bubbles. Place the brush in the mixture and let it soak for two or three minutes or until the food loosens from the bristles
- Remove the brush from the solution and rinse it with warm water. Set it on a rack or towel to air dry

06-12-2011- Other Thoughts: When friends have helped me with cleanup after a party, they always comment on the ease of use and the great quality. There are several different scrubbing that fit on this one soap dispenser. That is one of the greatest features of this item.

05-23-2011- Other Thoughts: Foremost, our brush DOES NOT LEAK! Bristles are stiff enough to actually scrub items clean.

04-12-2011- Other Thoughts: I also love that it stays germ-free and clean. The handle is comfortable, too, a plus for arthritic hands. I can't think of a downside to this handy dish brush.

03-20-2011- Other Thoughts: Using cold water is that the bristles seem to last forever. This is a terrific brush with a great design - it should live on forever.

03-16-2011- Other Thoughts: We prefer this one and go out of our way to buy it whenever we can. It does a good-all around job on a wide range of things. This includes pots and pans, so long as food isn't burned or baked on. One of the things we like most is that it's just a plain brush. When it gets grubby, we just pop it in the dishwasher with everything else!
