It worked great with my new laptop. My new laptop didn't have the type II card slot.

I'm happy
00:00:00 03-10-2011
Easy to use, the only thing I don't like is the added length of the device, a bit flimsy, but it gets the work done, the price was not bad, so I'm happy with the purchase.

easy

It is very useful for PCMIA card users, it is easy to install and manage, but somewhat bulky in size to the connection port.

works perfectly

Other than having an undesirable extremely long projection from your computer this thing works perfectly.

ever since
00:00:00 01-12-2011
It was with great hesitation, that I ordered this product. I'd read many reviews about it - stating that it was "wobbly" and didn't do the job at all. <br/>Well - for us - it worked first-time - right out of the box ... and has continued to function perfectly, ever since.

Product FAQs
  • What is PCMCIA?
  • PCMCIA stands for Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, an international standards body and trade association based in San Jose, California. Founded in 1989, PCMCIA aimed to create a standard for connecting peripherals to portable computers. PCMCIA developed the PC Card.

  • What is PCMCIA, express card 34 and 54 used for?
  • If you do a search on express cards you will find all kinds of items from TV tuners, Video cards, Wireless cards, and even cell phone broadband units. There are a lot of different ones. I have even seen some interface converters as well as memory card readers.

  • Is there any way to use a pcmcia card in a express card slot?
  • Unfortunatly, ExpressCard is a different standard than what PCMCIA/PC Card is - the connector itself is smaller, and ExpressCard is based on PCI-Expess while PC Card is based on older PCI technology. You'll need a new wireless card that's based on the new ExpressCard standard.
