How to Make a Mobile Phone Pouch:
Mobile phones offer convenience and the ability to stay connected with friends, loved ones and business acquaintances regardless of your location. With the convenience and portability of mobile phones comes the downside of losing them, dropping them or otherwise damaging them accidentally. Making a mobile phone pouch to hold and protect your mobile phone is a simple process that doesn't require very many materials or much time. Mobile phone pouches protect your phone's screen and make it easier to carry the phone in your pocket or purse.- Spread the 9-inch x 9-inch square of fabric in front of you. Choose a thick fabric, such as diamond-quilted velvet or similar material
- Squeeze out some fabric glue down the left edge of the square
- Fold the fabric in half, horizontally, attaching the right edge of the fabric to the glued left edge
- Squeeze a line of glue approximately one inch above the bottom edge of the folded material. Squeeze another line about an inch above the previous glue line
- Fold the bottom edge of the folded material from the bottom up to just above the second glue line. Press it against the glue, to create a makeshift pocket
- Allow the pouch to dry about an hour
- Turn the pouch inside-out, to conceal the folded and glued edges. Once it is turned inside-out, it will serve as a basic protective pouch for your mobile device. Mobile phones such as the Blackberry Bold, HTC Touch and other similarly sized phones will fit in the pouch
How to Sew a Cell Phone Pouch:
With just basic sewing skills, you can whip up a custom-made fabric pouch to protect your cell phone. This easy-to-make cell phone cover is cut from only one piece of fabric and features a flap that folds over to close. Because it is made using polar fleece, which does not ravel, the seams don't even need finishing. Sewing your own cover is the perfect solution to the problem of finding a cover for an older model or odd-shaped phone.- With your cell phone closed, measure the phone's length, width and depth. Mark down these measurements
- Cut a strip of fabric to the following dimensions: For the width of the fabric strip, add the width and depth of your phone and add an additional 3/4 inch. The length of the fabric strip should be 2 1/2 times the length of your closed phone. For example, if your cell phone is 4 inches long, 2 inches wide and 3/4 inch deep, the fabric strip should be 10 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide
- With the right side of the fabric face down, fold the bottom, narrow edge of the fabric strip upward the same number of inches as the length of your phone. For the example given above, you will fold up the strip 4 inches, leaving a 2-inch flap. The right side of your fabric is now facing out
- Pin and sew the side seams, using 1/4-inch seams. The seams will remain on the outside of the case
- Fold the flap over the top of the pouch. Attach one side of the fabric fastener to the front of the case and the other side of the fastener to the underside of the flap. Press the two pieces together to close

11-07-2011- Other Thoughts: Excellent WATERPROOF POUCHES and well made. I bought my Droid X from costco and was given a holster for it. However, I did not know that and had bought this prior to actually purchasing the Droid. However, after receiving this, I am using it exclusively now. The holster from Costco is not bad, but it seems cheap compared to this one fits better. I highly recommend it.

11-18-2011- Other Thoughts: I was skeptical at first but read the previous review and decided to purchase this item. I'm so glad I did. This is by far the best case for the Droid X. I used the one from Verizon and it did not work well. Also, the magnet on this case does not activate my car dock app when I close it, while the one from Verizon does. I don't have a silicon case around so I don't know if it'll work with that on. If you have the Droid X and like to carry it in a holster, this is the one to get. I am very pleased!

07-31-2011- Other Thoughts: The cell phone pouch will never slipped or fallen off, I know my phone is well protected. Overall I continue to get tons of use out of the cell phone pouch for the fantastic low price and I can't recommend it enough. It has a good ability of waterproof, so it is also a waterproof pouch! High quality of this arm pouch!

10-14-2011- Other Thoughts: I use this for the iPhone. The pouch fits perfectly, and I'm sure it fits a variety of other electronics of a similar size. It's great for what I wanted. A pouch to provide a bit of protection. I'd recommend this product.
