How Can I Get Dirt Out of a Taffeta Dress?
Taffeta makes any dress look elegant and chic, although the care for such a dress can be difficult. You don't want to waste the money you spent by throwing out your dress, especially if you get a stain on it. Dry cleaning is the best way to care for fabrics such as taffeta, but it can just as expensive as the gown itself. In a few minutes, you can easily get your stains out of your dress without using any harsh chemicals or sprays- Combine one part soap with six parts distilled water in a spray bottle. Use the second spray bottle solely for pure distilled water
- Put the dress facing up on an ironing board. Place a white diaper underneath the stain on the dress to absorb both the stain and the liquid as you treat the dress
- Spray the stain with the combined solution until it completely comes out. Don't attempt to blot or rub the stain. It will set into the fabric
- Exchange the diaper for a clean one, especially if the old diaper becomes saturated. Keep spraying with the mixed solution if the stain is still present
- Use a diaper or a cloth to blot any additional water on the ironing board. Use a fresh diaper under the wet area of the dress. Allow the taffeta to air dry completely
- Use a fabric fragrance spray to remove any offending odors. Make sure that the spray doesn't discolor your dress. Remove any wrinkles with a fabric steamer. Once dry, taffeta can sometimes wrinkle

I ordered this dress for my daughters prom. It was perfect what more can I say. There are two different grades of pictures on this item, and the first couple of pics definitely match the quality of the dress more than the others. Just perfect, many thanks.
