How to Reset a Remote Control:
If you want to add another remote control for your garage door opener or need to replace a dead battery and reprogram an existing remote, chances are you'll have to reset the opener with the base unit for it to work. The process involves just a few steps and is relatively easy to do- Replace the battery by opening the remote, taking out the old one(s) and putting in the new one(s). Make sure you buy the right battery for your remote. Match the battery type, size and voltage that came with the remote
- Use a step ladder to access the garage door motorized unit, usually equipped with a safety light. Locate the reset or "learn" button on the unit. Many times, this small button is recessed, so you might need a pen or pencil to reach it
- Push the reset or "learn" button on the opener. While the reset indicator light is blinking for about 30 seconds, point your remote at the opener, then press and hold the remote button that opens the door, and the reset light should stop blinking and glow steady to indicate the controller and opener are now synchronized. If the process doesn't work the first time, try again to make sure you pressed your button during the time when the indicator light is blinking

01-19-2011- Other Thoughts: I purchased this Relay Module so I could turn off Christmas inflatable decorations on windy days and still leave the other decorations lit. I could not mount it so it was placed on the ground under the inflatable in a ziplock baggie. We had no moisture problems. We did often need to hit the remote repeatedly to get it to turn on, but I'll attribute that to being under the decoration instead of mounted.

04-04-2011- Other Thoughts: Keep one switch on my key chain and the other I attached velcro tape strips to and stuck it on the dash in an easy to reach location. I'm not really sure about the range but I can turn them on/off from inside my house so it works through walls.

03-01-2011- Other Thoughts: Works every time with one push of button and inside home aiming out the window to the switch which is 45 feet and around side of the wood shed. I use it to turn off a small pump that pumps water out of rain barrel to a series of bamboo pipes that are split with water running from pump and back to barrel for a constant water feature for the local birds. I did leave it run 24 hours but decided the birds sleep so why run it. Also when it freezes I lose all the water in the 55 gal barrel which ends up as beautiful ice sculpture but then when thaws the birds have no water. Now when I know its going to be very cold I shut it down from the kitchen window rather than go out in the cold and pull the plug. I have ordered two more of them, another A channel and a B channel,I have a bird bath that has a pump in it too on the way to the fore mentioned pump so will not use the 24 hr timer I bought for that and put the A channel so both will be turned on with one remote.

03-14-2011- Other Thoughts: The unit doesn't always respond when you press the button. Sometimes you have to press several times. Sometimes you have to actually go outside to get it to respond. And sometimes it actually works like it supposed to.

02-01-2011- Other Thoughts: There is not enough lighting in my garage. This device enable you to control the lights in wireless remote control. I use it to control fluorescence light, and it works out beautifully. You dont' have to hire contrator to do wiring anymore because of this clever design. Need to consider the circuit overload problem and make sure the electric device you want to control is within specified limit.
