03-29-2011- Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with it. The rice comes out pretty good. Not perfect, or "restaurant quality", but good enough considering the price. The steaming tray and programmability are great features and are usually seen on higher priced cookers. I add a tiny bit of cooking oil (just a few drops) into the water before cooking and it helps keep the rice grains from sticking together. It's also important to wash the rice thoroughly until the water is clear before cooking.

03-13-2011- Other Thoughts: It would cook veggies great, but the rice always held to much water. It was on of those clear open steamers. It was my first try at a rice/food steamer. In a way I am glad I waited a while to get another steamer, because you couldn't pick one up with a timer without spending a ton more money.

05-03-2011- Other Thoughts: The Rice Cooker is a great countertop appliance. The outer design is very nice and it easily wipes clean. Just drop in a couple of cups of rice, and about a cup and a half of water, press the button and forget it. It cooks rice perfect every time.

04-10-2011- Other Thoughts: This rice cooker is a great tool to have. Before purchasing, I made rice in a pot on the stove, and wondered why it was either always burned or soggy. I thought rice cookers were for those who ate rice every day. Well, we eat rice a lot more often now that we have this. It makes perfect rice and will also steam vegetables in the tray over the rice.

04-16-2011- Other Thoughts: Following the rice to water ratios provided in the manual, I've made perfect white, brown and wild rice. I also played around with steel cut oatmeal and found that a 1 part oats, 3 parts water ratio makes perfect oatmeal in about 30 minutes - half the stovetop time and with no monitoring. The removable cooking bowl is very easy to clean.
