How to Use Roller Skate Shoes?
- Choose between a pair of roller skate shoes with two wheels or four
- Remove the heel plugs on a pair of two-wheeled skate shoes and pop in the wheels.
- Flex your feet to extend the wheels. Lean back slightly until your weight is on the back wheels and start rolling
- Put one foot in front of the other, alternating your feet every now and then. Most of the skating done on a pair of roller skate shoes is on one foot, especially if you are wearing a pair of two-wheeled skate shoes, because the wheels are in the back. You have to lean back on the wheel in order to roll. In order to keep from falling over, one leg must be extended forward, but it is not the same as roller skating. You will only alternate feet occasionally as the one leg in use gets tired
- Pop out the wheels and replace the heel plugs when you arrive at your destination
Tips & Warnings
- Roller skate shoes sell quickly. Get them early to avoid any holiday rush
- Always practice safety when wearing any type of skates. A helmet, gloves and knee pads are highly recommended
How to Slide on Roller Skates
- Push off the ground using the edges of your roller skate wheels. Repeat until you reach a comfortable speed. Shift your body weight to steer your roller skates towards the ledge or rail. Bend your knees as you approach the roller skating obstacle
- Extend your legs while pushing off the ground. Jump vertically while lifting your roller skates off the surface of the riding terrain. Rotate your shoulders until they remain parallel with the obstacle. Align the base plates, located between the middle wheels, onto the edge of the ledge or the top of the rail in a perpendicular position
- Bend your knees to stabilize yourself as you begin the sliding technique. Lean forward or backward to maintain a balanced stance as you glide across the obstacle. Extend your arms to aid in the balancing process. Extend your legs as you reach the end of the rollerskating obstacle
- Jump away from the ledge or rail to finish the slide. Bend your knees as the wheels of your roller skates touch down onto the paved riding surface. Practice this simple series of movements to perfect the basic sliding technique. Add rotations to the dismount to perform new variations of the roller skating slide

04-07-2011- Other Thoughts: These skates were for 2 of my grandaughters and they love the look and the speed of them.I order 2 pair for Christmas and they both arrived on time.The only problem was the size 4 which I had ordered was too small and the return for a size 5 was real easy and fast. They are enjoying those skates..Thanks
