How to Make Your Cell Phone Battery Last Longer?
Tired of your cell phone battery running out in the middle of your conversation? With these quick and easy tips you will be able to extend the battery life of your "celly".
- Turning the Phone off: Turning the phone off will surely save lots of battery power. When you're not using your phone, try having it off to see how much battery you save.
- Proper Signal: A lot of cell phones lose their signal when in the wrong type of areas, while your phone is searching for a signal, and you're losing lots of battery power. Try only using your phone in areas where you have a strong signal.
- Vibrate: The vibrate function on cell phones takes up lots of battery power. By having the phone set to ring tone and vibrate you are using twice as much power. Try setting to a basic ring tone at low volume without vibrate.
- Backlight: The backlight feature insures that you can read everything on the phone whether it be day or night. This feature takes up excessive battery power. Either turn the backlight off or set it to only stay on a limited amount of time.
- Extra Features: Extra features such as internet, cameras etc. will cause you battery life to drain at a fast rate. Limit the amount of time you use these features.

How to Recharge Cell Phone Batteries:
Charging a cell phone battery properly may seem like a simple task, but improper charging can cause damage to battery cells, leading to a shorter battery life. New cell phone batteries and replacement cell phone batteries should be "conditioned" for the first three recharging cycles to ensure the battery will hold a full charge.
Instructions
- Open the back of the cell phone and remove the old cell phone battery. Cell phone batteries can be recycled. Call2Recycle.org offers a recycling program for rechargeable batteries.
- Remove the new cell phone battery from packaging using gloves or a lint-free cloth. Lint or natural oils from skin can prevent proper connection between the battery and cell phone leads.
- Install the new cell phone battery in place of the old. The new battery may have a snugger fit compared to the old battery, but do not force it into place. If the new cell phone battery does not fit, the wrong size may have been purchased or delivered.
- Replace the cover to the cell phone battery compartment. Some cell phone batteries require the cover to be in place before they will charge properly.
- Insert the cell phone charger into the cell phone and plug the charger into an electrical socket. The initial charge should last about 12 hours.
- Discharge the new cell phone battery to near empty. When the battery indicator is in the "red", plug in the phone for a second 12-hour charge.
- After fully discharging the battery a second time, charge the new cell phone battery for 12 more hours.

10-08-2011- Other Thoughts: Ordered and received this item as per delivery promise and at an unexpectedly low price. SAMSUNG Cell Phone Battery was pre-charged and worked instantly. After having the phone software flashed as well, my phone has a new lease of life. The old battery has now been retired, as it failed again after the software flash.
