    How to Ride In-line Skates:

    • The first step for learning how to ride in-line skates is finding shoes that fit just right. The shoes shouldn't be too loose or too tight. They have to be comfortable for riding around everywhere
    • The next step is finding the perfect place for practicing. You have to start off by finding a place that doesn't have any bumps, rocks, sticks or anything on the floor. When you start riding, the simplest thing can make you fall down, so make sure you find a smooth surface like an empty parking lot or a park
    • Now you should start off by riding on one regular shoe and one roller blade. Doing this will help you gain balance on one foot. After you have practiced many times and you can balance one foot on the roller blade and one foot on your regular shoe you are ready for the next step
    • The next step is to wear both roller blades and stay next to a wall so that you can hold yourself up. The wall will help keep you balanced and in case you were about to fall you could hold on
    • You can start off going really slowly and holding the brake every time you feel like you might fall. Even if you fall, it's okay, just make sure you have protections. A few falls are normal and they will encourage you to keep going so you can reach your goal
    • After that you have to practice going further, but slower. It's very important that you go slowly because you might not be able to control the break yet. So DO NOT go fast until you have practiced with the brake many times. If you go fast and you can't control the brake, you will crash. It will not be a fall; it will be a crash, which will hurt you very badly. So practice stopping on a slower pace and then gradually increase your pace
    • Once you mastered these steps, you are ready to go. However, stay away from busy streets and cars. I say this because if you ever lose control and can't break on time, you will jump right into the street and the result will be horrible. So until you have mastered everything, stay away from busy places

How to Learn Aggressive Inline Skate Tricks:

    • Build yourself a trick box or a low rail on a flat, open space like a driveway or parking lot. A trick box is simply a box of variable length and width that stands about two to four feet high and preferably has metal joints. They are easy enough to make and are useful to practice grinds and jumps from. A free-standing, low, metal rail is also a good tool to practice grinds. These are a little trickier to build because they require some welding skill
    • Learn the "Soul Grind" first. To do this trick, skate up to your rail or box at a decent speed. When you jump onto the rail, your inside foot should land running along the "soul plate," which is the flat surface of the boot on either side of the wheels. Your outside foot should land in front of the inside foot, but perpendicular to the rail with your toe pointed inward. The groove between your front two and back two wheels is called the grind plate, and should be running along the rail
    • Practice the "frontside." Again, approach the rail at a decent velocity, skating almost parallel to the rail. Next, jump onto the rail while rotating your whole body 90 degrees and land with both feet on the rail with both grind plates engaged and your toes inward. It will appear as though you are surfing down the rail
    • Try a "porn star." It is a variant of the soul grind. Skate up to the rail and jump up onto it the same way you would for the soul grind. Instead of placing your outside foot in front, drag it behind your inside foot with the toe pointed inward
    • Practice a "backside." It is performed the same way as a frontside, but when you jump onto the rail, turn your body the opposite direction so that your toes are facing out. This is more difficult because it can be tricky to keep your eye on the rail while facing away from it

Exactly what I was looking for
00:00:00 06-10-2011
I recently bought these skates and I love them! I've never owned inline skates before and it has been years since I've skated. Tried them out the other day for the first time and they are great!

I purchased these skates so that I could go rollerblading while my boyfriend jogged. They are extremely comfortable, and true to size.

I just got these. Awesome bearings, good wheel size, the boot is comfortable enough and feels secure. It's a great quality for this price, last season is my guess.

Got these as a gift for my daughter. She says there very comfortable, they feel lightweight. Made well, and being that they adjust four sizes she will have them for a long time to come.

Great Inline Roller Skate
00:00:00 04-19-2011
I'm loving these skates. I use them for exercising/recreation. They're fast to put on and fast on the road. They felt a little loose in the ankle at first, but I've strengthened up enough that that's no longer a problem. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new pair of skates this year :)

Good skate
00:00:00 04-06-2011
Bought this Inline Roller Skate for my 11 year old son - he is a size 5 and these fit him wonderfully. He has used them several times at the skating rink and says they feel great. The wheels do not slip on the smooth rink floor (I actually bought him another pair originally and had to return them because he couldn't skate at the rink - they were slipping all over the place). These are great skates and they look great on him....no problems so far

I recently bought these skates and I love them! These are my first pair of in line skates ever after growing up in quad skates. They are so comfortable and roll so smoothly.

fit perfectly
00:00:00 03-10-2011
I needed something to keep up with my four year old on her scooter while we went for walks instead of having to jog beside her all the time and i miss roller blading.. so i'm not a professional by any means.. but i love these! it scared me at first cause they are quite a bit smoother/faster than my pair i had as a child but i've learned to control it.. they're very comfy and secure.. i do recommend getting your size and not a size up.. they fit perfectly!
