How to Choose Snowboarding Goggles?
Snowboarding goggles are an absolutely necessary piece of sporting equipment. Goggles provide necessary protection for your eyes and also keep your eyes from drying out while you are snowboarding, so there is also a degree of improved vision when you wear goggles. Here is a quick guide on how to choose snowboarding goggles
- Bring your helmet or the headgear your normally wear when snowboarding, and go to your local sporting goods retailer. Make sure it is a location that sells goggles that are specifically designed for winter wear
- Try several pairs of snowboarding goggles on, wearing them over your headgear. This is how you will be wearing them when you are snowboarding, so it is important to make sure that the goggles fit over your headgear while also fitting firmly against your face
- Check the sides of the goggles for vents. Vents are often made of a foam material. They are important because they need to allow enough airflow to prevent your snowboarding goggles from fogging up, but no so much that your eyes dry out
- Buy goggles with double lenses if you don't mind spending extra money. These operate somewhat like a double pane window in terms of creating a temperature barrier. Having double lenses helps remove any possibility of your goggles fogging, regardless of weather conditions
- Stick to your budget. Snowboarding goggles cost anywhere from $15 to $150 per pair, so they can usually be found to match any budget

04-29-2011- Other Thoughts: This is a great product to own if you care about your eyes when you are working outdoors or an environment where something can get blown at you. I personally use them when I am falling a tree or cutting the wood. Before I purchased them I had tried other eye protection but none having giving me the protection that the Dewalt Safety Goggles have.

03-25-2011- Other Thoughts: these goggles fit well on my face and are pretty comfortable. I can wear them for an hour or so before I get tired of them. They don't fog up even when I use my respirator. <br/>I like them a lot and I'd recommend them.

12-17-2010- Other Thoughts: These are a good set of goggles. Anti-fog seems to work in most conditions, I have had them haze over but never to the degree of my other glasses. They are comfortable to wear.
