Ironing is a simple task that you can master in a single afternoon. Follow these steps to iron a skirt

• Turn the skirt inside out and place it on the ironing board with the waistband closest to the end. Iron the side flat
• Iron the skirt's hem flat while it is still inside out. Using a steam iron prevent the hem from "flipping up."

If you have a denim skirt that looks a little too clean around the ends, you can fray it to give it the kind of worn appearance that many young women prefer. To fray a denim skirt, you'll need to undo any hem that's sealing the material and then roughen up the loose ends of the denim fabric

• Wait for the fabric of your skirt to be completely dry, which can take a day or more depending on how sunny or breezy the drying area is. Untie the knots in your dry skirt to reveal a wrinkled, clean broomstick skirt ready for wearing
