I purchased this item for my 15-year-old who has been begging for a slingshot... he even asked my brother, a master woodworker, to make one for him! When this item arrived, it was better than expected. It's easy to use, even for a growing child. Fortunately, the dog and all glassware have been aafe - I bought a package of pom-poms for him to practice with!

Had this for awhile and occasionally shoot it, so it looks like durability is there. I'm not the best shot in the world but this thing is pretty straight-forward and pretty accurate.

  • What function of a slingshot?

  • It is normally fired by holding the frame in the non-dominant hand, extended at arms length. The pocket is then gripped between thumb and forefinger of the dominant hand, pulled back to near the cheek, aimed and the pocket released to fire the projectile toward the target.

    Home-made slingshots were popular childrens' toys for much of the 20th century because the low projectile velocity was generally considered to be safe. However, it is possible to construct a slingshot with sufficient power to cause serious bodily harm.

  • How much damage will a marble do out of my slingshot?

  • If you hit it in the head, it will die. If you hit it in the body, you'll probably just break a rib. If you're going to get rid of nuisance animals, be sure and get it done cleanly and without a lot of pain/grief for what you're killing. I recommend against using your slingshot for killing anything.

  • What size ammo does the slingshot use?

  • It uses whatever size you like. You can use rocks, marbles, ball bearings, etc.
    When you buy it, however, it comes with a 10 pack of 1/4" steel ball bearings for ammo.
    "Molded grip fits comfortably for a secure hold. A rugged steel frame, latex rubber tubing and a genuine leather shot pouch small enough to fit in your pocket.
    Comes with a Bonus 10 Pack of 1/4" steel ball ammo.
