How to Travel Safely With a Camcorder:

Instructions:- Carry your camcorder in a padded case. They may cost a little extra, but replacing a cracked lens will cost much more.
- Always bring your camcorder as a piece of carry-on luggage when traveling by plane. Never check your camera at the baggage counter and never stick it in the trunk. Your camcorder will be safer from the elements on the seat next to you.
- Have the camera ready at customs and security gates. The security checker will likely want to inspect the camera to be sure it is not a weapon.
- Buy adapters for international power outlets. Make sure you get a quality adapter for your charger when you are traveling abroad. Don't buy one that is going to short out and ruin your battery.
- Get a room with a safe. Check ahead of time with your hotel to see if there will be safes in the rooms. Most cleaning staffs are very professional and ethical, but lock it up for extra security.
- Let your camera warm up or cool down before using. If you'll be traveling to vastly different climates, you'll want your camera to adjust to the new temperature naturally.
- Insure your camera. Many home and contents insurance policies cover accidental damage.
Tips & Warnings:

- Invest in some silica gel packets and stick them in your case to prevent moisture damage.
- Keep your camera secure. Carry it on your front instead of your back. Make sure the bag is zipped and fastened.
- Some companies offer lines of inconspicuous camera bags. Shop around.
- While packing, keep your camera separate from any lotions, sunscreens or bug repellants. Leaky bottles will damage your camera.
- Leave the camera home when you go to the beach. Sand is awful for cameras. If you must bring it with, bring a sealable bag and a brush to get rid of any stray grains of sand.
How to Choose a Good Camera Bags?
- A camera bag not only protects the equipment, but also protects the photographer from injuries caused by a heavy or unbalanced load. Comparing a bag's function, shape, size and materials can help determine if the bag fits the photographer's needs and carrying limit
- Holster Camera Bag
- Holster camera bags have zippered panels that conceal compartments for a compact camera body and usually a lens up to a few inches long, depending on the bag size. Rear belt loops can attach the lightweight holster to a belt and convert to a large fanny pack, according to Neo Camera.
- Backpack
- A backpack allows the photographer's hips and back to support the distributed weight. The backpack must comfortably fit the shoulders and back. Padded, removable inserts can adjust around the camera body, extra lenses and accessories. The interior should accommodate the camera body with a telephoto lens and lens hood attached. Some large backpacks store laptops to allow viewing images on location.
- Rolling Camera Cases
- Camera cases with hard bodies resembling a suitcase usually offer better protection against a drop or rough handling. Some camera cases are water-resistant or waterproof. Heavy cases with wheels and telescoping handles allow easy transport and minimize back injury.

- Shoulder bag for camera gear.Sometimes the best camera bag does not resemble a camera bag. Some bags with stylish designs and colorful fabrics serve multifunctional purposes as colorful lunch bags, book bags, shoulder bags and day packs that do not draw attention to the valuable equipment tucked inside

10-16-2010- Other Thoughts: This case is great for protecting your camera and carrying minimal other gear with you. The side pockets could carry a lens each or charger/wires, etc. It appears that a lot of thought went into the location of each opening to allow for the most storage and ease of getting into the areas. I am very pleased with the bag, knowing that my camera is well protected. A fifth star would be added for a bit more storage.

02-19-2011- Other Thoughts: This SLR Camera Bag worth the price and I don't see any better / compact bag for this price. Its got two equally sized side pockets which fit my extra lenses and charger / cable extra. The front pocket is very tight and wont hold more than a small manual.

02-19-2011- Other Thoughts: This is an excellent bag. I bought it for my husband for Christmas to hold his Canon T2i Rebel. It works perfectly. The suspension cradle holds the camera snug, and prevents it from damage. The side storage compartments hold the extra lenses without fear of them being broken. The rubber bottom is fantastic in case you put the bag down on the ground. The bag is medium/large and can get heavy to carry when fully loaded but I would highly recommend this bag to others.

01-22-2011- Other Thoughts: It is a good Digital Camera Bag. just not as good as it's older version. My son was moving to California and had to leave his camera case with me to ship to him later with more belongings. That is why I purchased the Caselogic. But it is missing some of the finer things that was on his case. Manufacturers have to figure out what they can trim and still make a nice case.

03-10-2011- Other Thoughts: This is an excellent SLR Camera Bag. Very sturdy, fits at least three lenses with ease. Feels very durable and well made. Has the feel of much more expensive camera bag. You will not be dissapointed, especially for the price. This bag is being used with a Canon t2i.
